Street Art in Venezuela, Ciudad Mural in Barquisimeto
Hello, street art friends! It’s always a pleasure to post for you again, and this time I’m sharing a discovery I made whilst visiting my home country, Venezuela.
I went to visit a place called Santa Rosa, a small but very picturesque village brimming with stories, spirituality and murals.
I was told that a tourism project called Cuidad Mural had been launched there, and when I heard this I went straight away, as, as you know, I really love murals, and so there I was.
Well, I’ll be posting several updates about this interesting and beautiful cultural project that took place in my town, as I took lots of photos of the various murals painted there.
And I’ll start with this mural
The artist behind this beautiful piece of art is called YOEDZ, and his mural pays tribute to indigenous identity and culture, whilst also highlighting other cultural and architectural elements, as well as the mountainous surroundings.
Personally, I really love large-scale murals like this one; when I saw it, I was captivated by both the theme and the colours that evoke twilight.
This work seeks to highlight and raise awareness of the rural and indigenous communities in our country.
I really loved every detail this artist used, especially the background, which is very colourful.

Hola amigos de arte callejero, siempre es un gusto poder publicar nuevamente para ustedes y está vez les traigo un hallazgo cuando estuve de visita en mi país Venezuela.
Fui a conocer un lugar llamado Santa Rosa, un pueblo pequeño pero muy pintoresco lleno de muchas historias, espíritualidad y murales.
Me dijieron que alli se inauguró un proyecto turístico llamado Cuidad Mural y cuando supe esto me fui de inmediato, ya que como sabrán me gustan mucho los murales y allí estuve.
Bueno haré varias publicaciones sobre este interesante y hermoso proyecto cultural que se realizó en mi cuidad, dado que tomé muchas fotos a varios murales que allí se pintaron

El autor de este hermoso trabajo artístico se llama YOEDZ y su mural rinde un homenaje a la identidad y cultura indígena donde también resalta otros elementos culturales, arquitectonicos y el entorno montañoso.
Personalmente me gustan mucho los murales a gran escala como este que al verlo me encanto tanto por la temática como por los colores que simulan crepúsculos.
Está obra busca rescatar y visibilizar las comunidades campesinas e indígenas de nuestro país.
Me gusto muchísimo cada detalle que este artista uso, sobre todo el fondo que es muy colorido.
