Hello, urban art enthusiasts. As always, it’s a pleasure to share a new discovery with you, this time in Bogotá (Colombia), in a neighbourhood called La Candelaria, where you can find lots of beautiful graffiti and murals like the one I’m showing you today.
When I saw it, I absolutely loved every detail and the colour combination. From a distance it looks like a stencil, but as I got closer I realised it isn’t, as it was painted with great detail and its halftone technique, together with its striking circular background, make it an eye-catching mural that references identity, African heritage and ethnic diversity.
A piece in which the Colombian artist JoK has beautifully captured a connection between the ancestral and the spiritual in the gaze, which I personally loved.

Hola amigos de streetart como siempre es un gusto poder compartirles un nuevo hallazgo, está vez en Bogotá Colombia, en un lugar llamado la Candelaria, que es un sitio donde podemos encontrar muchos graffitis y murales hermosos como el que hoy les traigo.
Al verlo me encanto muchísimo cada detalle y la combinación de colores. Al verlo de lejos parece una plantilla pero al acercarme no lo es, ya que fue pintado con muchos detalles y su técnica de semitono con su llamativo fondo circular hace de esto un llamativo mural que hace referencia a la identidad, la herencia africana y diversidad étnica.
Un trabajo donde el artista Colombiano JoK logro reflejar hermosamente una conexión entre lo ancestral y los espíritual de la mirada que personalmente me gustó mucho.
