Lisbon is not my hometown, I've only spent 5 days in my entire life there, or at the time I left 0.03% of my life. But that didn't stop me from finding some street art and capturing the scene at that one moment in time - a week in September 2023
Many of these shots are taken at LX factory which is a old textile factory which has been converted in artist spaces upstairs and a collection of shops, bars and restaurants downstairs. This was a piece at the back of one of the bars.
This was one of the larger pieces, on a carpark wall, I think the message of this one with it American Consumerism vibes is pretty clear, is it the gloves that make me think he has stolen something?
This is actually just outside the LX Factory on one of the massive supports for the Pont 25 April bridge which runs above this neighbourhood.
See what I've done with this shot, I've tried to get a little artistic, but then again this is what I caught my eye as I walked past this empty restaurant, the light just playing of the empty tables and the bright artwork in the street ahead.
Now it's time to get out of the Factory and back into Lisbon proper, and here we have some very cool part Japanese part Mondrian artwork, reasonably sure it's a cocktail bar, I reckon if it was open I would have drunk there.
And last but not least it's my favourite type of artwork, chaos, that takes years to create, there is something about this on old style European walls that appeals to me much more than on the modern concrete of home.
