Today we are taking a very short look at Sydney, Australia - not my hometown, which is Melbourne which has street art everywhere, but the most famous of Australia's cities and not too shabby in the street art stakes.
In particular I'm in Marrickville, a inner city suburb with strong working class and industrial past and now a place of young people priced out of fancier parts of Sydney, and all the associated cafes, craft beer breweries and art that comes with that.
I love this work - unfortunately not credited, I can tell you it's between Sucafina, which of course is a coffee importer/cafe and a pottery and wine place, where you drink wine and spin some clay - becuase that's a thing
I would say these three pieces all feel very commissioned which isn't my favourite form of street art, but they are stunning none the less - this work is by and artist called Reubszz - the model is someone called Lauren, who I'm told is a personal trainer in 'Ruben's' which is a gym.
And finally this piece hidden at the end of a dead end street, they seemed to be renavating this building which was a old 60's warehouse, I'm sure that the mural is part of the appeal for some creative industry office to move in with all their thinking, ideas and pushbikes.
