Tunisis not my home twon, but when visiting new places one of things I am drawn to is the street art, so I present for you some of the pieces I pointed a camera towards in Tunis when I was there in August 2024
I love the simplistic nature of this one, I like the joy and hopefulness of it. This was just below the Hotel du Lac and if I'm not mistaken the t-shirt of this character is telling me he loves that building (as do I)
This is one of those shots that you get back from a holiday and you have no idea where you took this, or why, or the story behind it - There is some suggestion from the image that it might have something to do with peace and love. Did you know that the arab spring started in Tunisia?
I love this shot - it was on a wall just near our hotel (near the gates into the medina) - there is like a Mario Kart meets Hunter S Thompson vibe about this - works with the old lamps as well.
I can't actually tell from the order on my camera if this is the last photo on took in Tunis or the first in Kairouan - either way I like it a look, the face, the orange and red against the blue doors - very nice.
