For the CCC's Street Art Contest #298 hosted by Hive account@digi-me, I'm showing you the Santropol building in Montreal, which was repainted by Caitlin Donagh last summer. I passed by this street corner several times to photograph this mural, as you'll see in this post.

Pour le CCC's Street Art Contest #298 organisé par Hive account@digi-me, je vous propose ce bâtiment du Santropol à Montréal qui a été repeint par Caitlin Donagh l'été dernier. Je suis passé plusieurs fois par ce coin de rue pour pouvoir en prendre en photo cette murale comme vous allez le constater dans ce post.

This mural is located on the wall of the Santropol Roulant on Roy Street near Saint-Laurent Boulevard in Montreal. It's a community center that brings local residents together through various activities, such as a local produce market in the summer. The pedestrian street in front has been transformed into a public square: Les Terrasses Roy, with tables, gardens, and a sandbox—perfect for a break.

Cette murale se trouve sur le mur du Santropol Roulant sur la rue Roy proche du boulevard Saint-Laurent à Montréal. Il s'agit d'un centre communautaire qui rassemble les habitants du quartier grâce à diverses activités, comme un marché de produits locaux en été. La rue devant est piétonne transformé en place : Les Terrasses Roy, avec des tables, des jardins et un bac à sable, idéale pour une pause.

Caitlin Donagh

Caitlin Donagh is a Canadian illustrator and artist who has created several murals in Montreal. On her Instagram account, she describes herself as a "maker of paintings, big and small." This particular piece is a large painting, a blend of figurative and abstract elements in pastel colors.

Caitlin Donagh est une illustratrice et artiste canadienne qui a réalisé plusieurs murales à Montréal. Sur son compte Instagram, elle se définit comme "fabricant de tableaux petits et grands". Là nous sommes dans un grand tableau, un mélange de figuratif et d'abstraction.

As you can see, the first time I walked past, the mural was still being created. The trees in the square prevented me from photographing a large portion of the artwork. In the fall, the trees still obscured Caitlin Donagh's work. But with their yellow foliage, I like the photo.

Comme vous pouvez le voir, la première fois que je suis passé devant, la murale était en cours d'élaboration. Les arbres sur la place empêchaient de prendre en photo une grande portion de l'œuvre. En automne, les arbres cachaient encore le travail de Caitlin Donagh. Mais avec leurs couleurs jaunes, cela a donnée une belle photo 😀.

In winter, at least, you get an overall view of the artwork. It's a shame that everything wasn't painted like in the previous version. But the result is nice; it's just a pity that its base has already been tagged.

En hiver, au moins, on a une vue d'ensemble de l'œuvre. C'est dommage que tout n'a pas été peint comme dans la version précédente. Mais le résultat est sympa, dommage que sa base a déjà été taguée.
