Hello, Monday! Treat us well, would ya?😅
Joking aside, it's a lovely start to the new week. We are driving somewhere and I'm excited to be snapping some pictures along the way.
Speaking of which, street art was among the many photographs taken during last week's trip as we traversed the Pico-Lamtang Road to avoid the horrendous traffic along kilometer 3 in LTB. Most retaining walls and fences on that route have graphics, graffiti, artwork, and/or murals.
We could not pull over however so some most of them are blurry and only a portion of the artwork was included in the others, rendering them basically useless and therefore discarded.
For some reason, Marilyn Monroe came to mind the moment I saw this colorful piece. I'm still wondering what could have inspired the artist to give it the most colorful hair :) It made me want to call her the Rainbow Lady.😅
While I wanted to stop for picture taking, we needed to get to my appointment on time. Luckily, I was able to snap some viewable ones, and let me share those found on the concrete fence of the LongLong Elementary School.
These two are cool and kinda mysterious.
Even Smileys ended up there, and would surely make one break a smile or even a giggle on seeing them.
I wondered for a while if the numbers were part of the original artwork but soon realized they may have been added by another person.
Here is the screenshot of the fence wall where I took the photos via worldmappin. The speeding car only allowed me to snap some and miss most from the school gate.
There was another series of colors after the bend. Out of 13 spans, I only managed to snap four. Blame the phone camera for it wasn't fast enough, haha!
I wished the hubby slowed down but could not because other vehicles were behind us. Anyway, something is written on the tree, "I have seen all the seasons of your life." That sounded magical yet a little creepy to me, lol!
There were flowers and the cam nearly ditched the roses.😅
This is a screenshot from the map to give an overview of the area.
Unfortunately, I could not find any information online on when the artworks were done and who the artists were. My wild guess is that the doodles after the curve might have been done by someone in the school (or not).
This is all for now and have a fantabulous new week! Until next time :)
