Magandang buhay!
So I was waiting on the other side of the street when I noticed something beside the gate of the aggregates. The curious me just has to check it out. So just as you would have guessed, I crossed the road for a closer look.
Aha! So it's Mr. Bean!
And oh! Homer and Bart of The Simpsons, and who wouldn't know Doraemon? Their feathered friends were there too, perched on the blue branches, and there's a cute little yellow cat! And I suppose one also noticed Mrs. Simpson looking out in the back😁
I stood there in silence, wondering where they might be driving to... I should have just asked, but I was shy, so I wished them well, took another shot, and left them be.
Joke aside, I like how the junked car was transformed into something fun or cool instead of being an eyesore in that area. I couldn't find any information on whose idea it was or the artist who made the doodles, but my appreciation goes to them anyway. And I can only assume the artwork must have been done years ago, as some colors or paints are already coming off.
By the way, this art was found in the curve along the Baguio-Tuding Road in the Cordilleras. Here is a screenshot of the said spot via Worldmappin, courtesy of Google Maps (no copyright infringement intended).
It's funny that I didn't even notice the other art on the wall until today, while checking the place on the map. Probably because some vehicles were parked along that side when we were there, and we were rushing to the wedding venue. But yes, it was nice to have come across the cool dudes together in that lil car.
Anyways, it's midweek down here in DD, and since we couldn't go anywhere, Yongi and I only use our time in ways we know how. Thankfully, despite the movement restrictions (which I hope won't last long), we can still do some lighthearted stuff. Yep, fun is never out of the equation. How dull the days would be if we were stripped of things that make us mirthful.
So here's to a FUNtastic time, everyone!
