For almost 120 years, a beautiful and famous beer was brewed in these hallowed halls, appreciated by every lover of barley juice. They called the golden juice “Meisterbräu” and the strong beer was particularly popular.
When the end of the socialist country came, in which the hertseller company was a so-called state-owned company, a large brewing company from West Germany bought the guaranteed source of sales. Only to close it quietly and secretly just a few years later.
Afterwards, sprayers and artists conquered the buildings and began to transform the dreary gray ruins with bright colors into a place that no longer delighted the throat, but delighted the eye. Some time ago, however, the last rubble was sold and an investor transformed the brewery into a modernist apartment block, hidden behind the remains of the historic facade.
