Hello to all urban art lovers! The following publication corresponds to a tour that my friend Hive account@yetsimar and I took about a week ago to one of the tourist sites of the city "El Obelisco", on the west side of the city of Barquisimeto (Venezuela). Surrounding this structure is a large number of incredible murals made by various artists, including Pegasi (Pedro José García Silva), Héctor Rodríguez, Oscar Pernía, Gustavo Castellanos, among other talents. The exhibition is called: Galería Vial Rostros de la Cultura Larense, which shows that its objective is to enhance the figure of all those men and women of the state, who dedicated themselves to the arts, leaving a legacy to the new generations. Because there are many photographs, I have decided to show you this exhibition in two parts.

It is worth mentioning that all these paintings are made on the pillars of a bridge. I remember that years ago, these walls were empty, which gave the place a lonely aspect. For this reason, when a series of graffiti began to appear, it stopped being such an abandoned area to have a little more color. Even so, it was still a place little traveled by passers-by. Now that the place has been remodeled and places have been set up for visitors to enjoy, the atmosphere looks happier and is always full of people in the evenings.

It is quite nice to stop to contemplate these works and imagine about the lives of the artists that were portrayed. The city of Barquisimeto is recognized for being the musical and artistic city of the country, all due to those characters who were guided by their inspiration.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del arte urbano! La siguiente publicación corresponde a un recorrido que mi amiga Hive account@yetsimar y yo, hicimos hace como una semana a uno de los sitios turísticos de la cuidad "El Obelisco", en el lado Oeste de la ciudad de Barquisimeto (Venezuela). En torno a ésta estructura se encuentra una gran cantidad de murales increíbles realizados por varios artistas, entre ellos Pegasi (Pedro José García Silva), Héctor Rodríguez, Oscar Pernía, Gustavo Castellanos, entre otros talentos. La exposición recibe por nombre: Galería Vial Rostros de la Cultura Larense, lo cual demuestra que su objetivo, es el de realzar la figura de todos esos hombres y mujeres del estado, que se dedicaron a las artes, dejando un legado a las nuevas generaciones. Debido a que son muchas fotografías, he decidido mostrarles ésta exposición en dos partes.

Cabe mencionar que todas estas pinturas están realizadas en los pilares de un puente. Recuerdo que hace años, estos muros estaban vacíos, lo cual le daba al lugar, un aspecto solitario. Por eso, cuando empezaron a aparecer una serie de grafitis, dejó de ser una zona tan abandonada para tener un poco más de color. Aún así, seguía siendo un sitio poco transitado por los transeúntes. Ahora que el lugar ha sido remodelado y se han instalado lugares para que los visitantes disfruten, el ambiente se ve más alegre y siempre está lleno de personas por las tardes.

Es bastante agradable detenerse a contemplar estas obras e imaginar acerca de las vidas de los artistas que fueron retratados. La ciudad de Barquisimeto es reconocida por ser la ciudad musical y artística del país, todo debido a aquellos personajes que se dejaron guiar por su inspiración.
