Since I started this community I have gone from having a couple of bottles up to six, mainly thanks to gifts. I like it when people surprise me with something I might not have bought for myself. You may notice some are getting a bit low. The Cardhu is almost gone.
Tonight I am having the Glengoyne. They say they are the slowest whisky distillers, which I assume affects the flavour.
They claim it has tastes of toffee apples, ginger, shortbread and a hint of spice.
I will say it is certainly a rich taste with a lot going on. My palate is not sensitive enough to pick all those out. I find it slightly 'chewy', in a good way. I am drinking it neat today to get the full experience and it is not overwhelming.
The colour changes according to the light. In some other photos it looked much lighter. Can you guess what I was up to this evening?
Cheers!
