My neighbour Dave invited me over for a Scotch this evening. He brought out a Bruichladdich (do not ask me how to pronounce it) that comes in a very distinctive bottle. I would say it is cyan in colour and not at all see-through. I guess this makes it stand out in the shops.
There is a lot of text on the bottle and tube, but this is a single malt Islay whisky. They are obviously very hot on branding and image. Dave was given this by a friend.
We had it with a little water and it was very nice. You can see it does not have much colour to it. Quite light and smooth to taste. Not as syrupy or peaty as some. That would be down to them not using peat. Whatever they do it works well and it slipped down a treat.
It was not easy to tell how much was left, but we ended up finishing the bottle. That was probably just a couple of measures each. I do not feel too light-headed after that. I am still suffering a bit with COVID, but it has not taken away my sense of taste. I may just not have had quite the same experience I might when healthy. Some consider whisky a good tonic when you are feeling down. I think in moderation it cannot do any harm.
I have not had this one before, but they do advertise a lot on TV.
