Hello to any of my readers and "Dear (weekly) Diary" 😜
It seems like this week has been one of relative calm, if you ignore the fact that we're still wallowing deep in bear territory. 😅🐻 The only crypto news of note that could have been expected to move markets was news about Cathie Wood's ARK Invest filing for the first ever Spot Ether ETF. While this news initially sent BTC and ETH higher, the rally ultimately proved to be short-lived and it has returned to prices seen ahead of the filing. 🤷♂ I guess we aren't getting out of this sideways price action anytime soon unless we get some really concrete news about approvals about the ETFs.
On the Splinterlands dev side of the game, it seems like the Twitter contest to win Chaos Legion packs has been renewed for yet another week. We've also finally gone past the sales milestone for Riftwatcher such that the next airdrop card release is now official! 😱
But before I go into detail...
A brief introduction before I start though...
Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) I've made it a point to blog about my weekly progress and experiences in Splinterlands/HIVE in my "weekly diary". Splinterlands & HIVE are what I'd consider to be my entry point into the World of Crypto, and I intend to use this as a means to look back on the path I've taken in the years ahead.⏳⏳⏳
This is now the 94th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. I talk about what has gone on my personal Splinterlands playing experience, my weekly Guild Brawl Reports, and also any Splinterlands ingame news. 🎉🥳🎊
No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

There isn't much to say about my personal gameplay in Splinterlands this week. It has been uneventful to say the least, as we're right in the middle of the season. That usually means just daily quests being completed as I grind it out slowly for that bit of progression.
That said, I do understand that these mundane tasks will gradually improve both my accounts over the long term. So, not much complaints there. Hopefully I reap the rewards in a future scenario where Splinterlands charges ahead during the Bull Market again.
My quest for more Gold Foil Legendary cards from my rewards chests continues on ("Greed is Good!" 😈). It's a 0.008% chance, at base level, to pull a legendary gold foil, in case you were wondering 😉. Here's to more jackpot strikes in the future (i hope) 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀.

With the end of the week comes my latest Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for "PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish" too. 🍕⚔️🛡️
My main regularly picks up the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Only Fray no.12✨🏅✨ while my alt takes up the ✨🏅✨Bronze Chaos Legion Fray no. 7✨🏅✨ every week.
I can't really complain about my performance this week. Other than that singular odd loss on my alt account, it was an almost perfect run of results for me. I finished with 5-0 and 7-1 scores for my main and alt accounts. All in all, definitely an outcome to be pleased about.
PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 3rd place! 🏆🏆🏆
We managed to finish on the podium again which is pretty good. As it is with previous weeks, the main reason we can't quite seem to go above that is because of the number of matches we play. Managing to field only 9 participants against other guilds who are able to get about 12-13 players means we have a severe handicap every single time. We literally need a perfect score from all our members to stand a chance to finish in 1st. 😅
Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...

Well, we've finally managed to edge past that 1.5 million pack milestone for the Riftwatchers expansion! It has been a really long wait. In fact, I personally think we might not have even hit this mark by the end of the year had the vote for a daily burn of Riftwatchers packs not gone through. 😅 That's just how it is during Bear Markets. 🐻📉
