The mission started with a heavy sense of isolation. Roger Cadoret dropped me off near the fortress, but the sheer size of the highwayman unit made it clear that a head-on assault would be suicide.
I found my way to the roof of the main building, where a huge hole provided the perfect vantage point. Looking down into the dark, industrial interior, I felt like a predator.
I took my time. I crouched by the edge of that jagged opening and began tagging enemies. The first one was pacing near a crate, oblivious to the fact that I was watching him from above. To get a better view of the entire perimeter, I moved to the opposite side of the hole.
After marking the first one, I moved to the other side of the opening to get a better view of the perimeter, successfully tagging several more Highwaymen lurking within the structure.
I spotted a pink flare on the roof and initially thought the package might be right there. I was definitely being over-optimistic, there was no way the loot would be left unguarded in such an obvious spot.
Scanning the exterior of the building, I saw more Highwaymen busy at work, seemingly repairing equipment and moving supplies. The place was a beehive of activity, making a loud entrance very risky.
I slipped back through the hole in the roof and dropped onto a high catwalk. Below me, a Highwayman was hunched over a wrecked vehicle.
I considered taking him out right then, but I noticed other guards nearby. If I made a noise, the whole room would swarm me.
I moved along the shadows and spotted a lady guard. At first glance, she looked isolated.
I was seconds away from jumping on her for a takedown, but as I opened photo mode to capture the moment, I saw another guard tucked away just a few feet from her. If I had jumped, I would have been detected instantly.
I decided to go back to the mechanic. He was my safest bet for a "first kill" on this island. I followed him into a darker section of the building where he was working in the shadows.
I stalked him like a ghost. When I was sure his buddies were out of earshot, I moved in and I took him down in total stealth.
I didn't leave the body in the open. I carried him behind a large crate to hide the evidence. No sooner had I dropped him than I saw another guard approaching.
He didn't see the blood, but he stopped to stare at a piece of paper on a nearby desk.
I saw my opening. I used Eden's Touch to snag him. I could see two more Highwaymen further away, probably gossiping and completely unaware their numbers were decreasing.
I dragged this second body into an open prison cell and kept him there. If no one sees the bodies, no one starts looking for me.
How about we continue in another post?
Thanks for reading my post.
