They're back, Joel and Ellie are back in Part II. I couldn't help but trying this out as soon as it was released for PC.
Joel shared the truth with Tommy about saving Ellie from the Fireflies, revealing how he couldn’t let them take her life for a cure. After that, we ride through a stunning forest filled with sunlight and nature, heading toward Tommy's large, peaceful camp.
Joel was polishing his guitar and telling Tommy the story about the previous chapter. He said that he was supposed to take Ellie to the Fireflies to help them with the vaccine.
Joel and Ellie were going to the Saint Mary's Hospital to look for the Fireflies. He was taking Ellie to the Fireflies because she had a special immunity in her blood, and the Fireflies could make a cure from her blood.
Finally they reached that place, and the doctors told Joel that in order to make that cure, they had to kill her, but Joel got really attached to her; that's why he couldn't let them kill her, and that's why he rushed into the operating room, but the doctors didn't want to let her go.
Joel was really attached to her so he killed most of the Firefly members in that hospital who came to stop him. Then he saved the girl and ran away from that hospital. Tommy was really traumatized to hear that story, and then he asked Joel if Ellie knew about all of that.
Joel replied that he had only told her that the fireflies only ran some tests on her and her blood meant nothing. With that, the flashback was completed.
Then both Tommy and Joel got out and got into their horses. Tommy was leading the way, and I was following him as Joel. There were a lot of infected dead bodies lying on the ground; these were the infected people they killed last night and camped in that house.
I was following Tommy; we were riding our horse through the forest, and sunlight was coming out. That sun ray got my eye, and I reacted to it. That part of that game was very realistic, and the overall view was too good. The graphic team outdid themselves here.
Tommy and I were heading for Tommy's camp. We saw the camp from up above, and it looked very big, and it also had a beauty of its own. I thought that it was a small camp, but I was very wrong; that camp was like a small town. Anyway, we continued heading towards the camp.
While heading towards the camp, I tried to jump with my horse, and that jumping feature is really good and also very realistic, and I could jump really high.
We also saw some deer on our way; they were jumping around. I was really surprised to see them because they were alive during that apocalypse.
After moving a little further, I saw a tunnel, but it was blocked. I wish I could explore that tunnel and see where it led.
After riding a little further, we finally reached the camp. We saw a big stop sign in front of the gate. We had to stop there and give our proper identity to the guards. If we didn't stop there, those guards might shoot us.
We got closer to the gate, and two men opened the gate for us. We entered the town through the east gate and got down from our horse.
Then Tommy and Joel had a conversation. Tommy said he would have done the same thing and he would keep it a secret, and then Joel continued walking ahead.
