After years of humiliation as a slave, Eivor seized a moment of distraction to break free from his captors. Following a brutal revolt on a boat, he armed himself and navigated the frozen landscape. With the help of his raven and a chance reunion with Dag, the plan to rescue the remaining crew from their captors was set into motion.
It was a prolonged time since Eivor became a man, only to be captured by the killer of his family. He was forced to live as a humiliated slave, intended to face a lonely and frail death far from his home.
The captors eventually left the area, leaving Eivor to dwell on his fate. He was thrown into a boat with a harsh warning that he would lose his eyes if he even attempted to move from his position.
Suddenly, a bird flew above, sparking something inside him. Eivor began attacking the people around him, single-handedly taking them all down before picking up an axe to continue his journey through the chaos.
I had to find and rescue my crew after that, so I collected food to increase my health for the coming battles. I found a high point to get a better view of the surrounding area and plan my next move.
I thought I could perform a leap of faith from the height to reach the ground quickly. However, after jumping off, my character just fell into the pit below in a clumsy way, reminding me Eivor still had much to learn.
I encountered an enemy on my path, marking my first real fight. I noticed I didn't have an assassination option yet, so I had to rely on the weight of my axe to kill him in a direct confrontation.
I soon discovered that I have a pet bird, a black raven. I learned I could call upon it to scout the area and help me find specific objectives hidden in the snowy environment.
I found two more guards blocking my path. While I originally planned to ignore them and stay hidden, I ended up fighting them anyway and took both down with my axe.
I kept walking toward the area where my crew was being imprisoned. As I got closer, I heard clash of iron and the sounds of a struggle nearby.
After getting close, I found Dag, who had just taken down an enemy. He explained he had slipped away during a sword clash; we made a deal that he would prepare the ship while I went to rescue the rest of the crew.
That's all for now.
