I resumed my duties as a street guardian by grappling across rooftops and absorbing trapped spirits with my Katashiro. I intervened when Visitors tried to kidnap souls, fought off a diverse group of supernatural enemies in an open field, and cleared corrupted trees to liberate more spirits before transferring them safely.
I really liked being the guardian of the street last time, so I decided to try more and I started today's journey by grappling on a Tengu.
After getting on that roof, I returned to where I had left some trapped spirits previously because I did not have spots in my Katashiro. But this time I came prepared with empty vessels, so I absorbed them all into my collection without any further delay.
Then I was just looking around to search for more trapped spirits on other rooftops and suddenly I noticed some spirits were getting dragged off by some Students of Misery on the street. I did not hesitate for a second and I just jumped off to save those spirits.
There were three of those devils dragging the spirits, creating a terrifying screeching sound. When I was attacking one of them, the others stayed focused on their job.
I had to make sure to take all of those down before they could escape into the fog. Once the Visitors were defeated, the spirits came out of the box and I absorbed them. They were in luck that I happened to be watching from the rooftops.
Then I noticed some Rain Walkers, some Students of Misery, and a Paper Doll guarding a street along with some more trapped spirits. They looked like a formidable defensive line, standing perfectly still in the rain until they started attacking me as soon as they saw me.
I backed off into an open field to give myself more room, and all of them started marching towards me at once. I took all of them down one by one, alternating between wind and fire attacks to shatter their cores before they could overwhelm me.
Then I went out to that blocked street where I cleared a corrupted tree that was pulsing with dark energy. Once the corruption was purged, I absorbed some trapped spirits that had been tangled in its roots, feeling the weight of the souls increase in my pocket.
Then I noticed there was a Rain Walker a little far from the main street who was guarding another blocked part of the road. I moved through the shadows carefully and I took him down silently, ensuring that no other Visitors in the area were alerted to my presence.
Then I had to shoot the core of the corrupted tree there using an arrow as it was a little far from me to reach with my weaving. After the tree dissolved, there were multiple trapped spirits that I absorbed, adding a significant amount to my total count.
I knew my Katashiro was getting filled, so I headed to a nearby telephone booth to transfer them to Ed, clearing my inventory so I could continue my hunt for lost souls.
