I chose to help John reach safety, leading us on a steep climb while under heavy fire. In a moving final goodbye, Arthur gave John his hat and satchel, staying behind to face the Pinkertons alone. After clearing the initial wave, a brutal cliffside fistfight with Micah began, pushing Arthur to his absolute limits.
After weighing the options, I decided helping John get to safety was the right choice. We started our climb through the mountains, leaving the chaos of the camp behind us.
We spotted Pinkertons blocking the path ahead, so we were forced to scale a steep mountain face. The enemies kept shooting at us from below, making every step a struggle for survival.
We had to stop several times to return fire and slow the pursuit. It was a desperate race against time as we kept pushing higher into the rocky terrain.
Eventually, Arthur reached his limit and told John to keep going without him. In a heartbreaking moment, Arthur handed over his hat and satchel, telling John to go be a family man while he held the line.
After John left, I took cover behind some rocks. I only had my handguns left and expected to be taken down, but I managed to fight off the remaining Pinkertons in one last show of strength.
Just as the smoke cleared, Micah appeared and ambushed me. The two of them grappled at the edge before both falling off the cliff in a chaotic tumble.
After getting back up, we started a brutal fistfight. It was tough because Arthur seemed to have lost some of his usual speed, and Micah was landing some heavy hits.
Arthur was clearly exhausted from the fight and his worsening sickness, but I kept pushing. Micah was relentless, and the fight turned into a desperate struggle for breath and life.
After taking a few more hits, I managed to get the upper hand. In a moment of pure desperation, I pinned Micah down and tried to choke the life out of him as the sun began to rise.
