While the gang turned on each other, a Pinkerton raid forced a sudden retreat. Arthur and John fled through dark caves, pursued by gunmen, before escaping on horseback.
After a final ambush took Arthur's horse, he was faced with a life-changing choice: help John escape or return for the money.
While Micah was shouting at Arthur to stay quiet, Miss Grimshaw stepped in with her shotgun and ordered Micah to shut up. The tension broke when Micah shot her, and Dutch finally drew his guns, but his eyes were on the wrong target.
Arthur begged Dutch to do the right thing, but Micah's manipulation had already taken hold. Dutch sided with Micah, leaving only John at Arthur's side.
I was shocked to see Bill pointing his weapon at Arthur after everything they had been through.
Just as a internal shootout was about to start, a massive group of Pinkertons appeared and opened fire. The sudden chaos forced everyone to scramble as the camp became a literal war zone.
John and Arthur dove behind some boxes for cover while the others tried to slip away. I actually tried to shoot Dutch and Micah instead of the Pinkertons, but the game wouldn't let me harm them.
I stayed behind the crates and kept shooting at the Pinkertons with John. The enemies just kept coming in waves, and it felt like there was no end to the reinforcements arriving at the camp.
John realized we couldn't win this fight and ran toward the cave, shouting for me to follow him. I finally accepted that I couldn't finish off all the Pinkertons and followed him into the dark.
We sprinted through the dark tunnels with the Pinkertons hot on our trail. Even though he was badly injured, John was running incredibly fast as we searched for a way out.
We reached a long ladder leading out of the cave system. I expected John to climb first and leave Arthur behind, but he insisted on sending Arthur up first to make sure he made it out.
After exiting the cave, they both whistled for their horses. Before they mounted up, John stopped for a second to thank Arthur for everything, knowing this might be their last moment of peace.
We began a desperate ride to leave the area, but Pinkerton riders were already trying to ambush us from the trees. I had to keep them at bay with my rifle while we galloped through the forest.
Suddenly, the Pinkertons managed to shoot our horses, sending us crashing to the ground. I had to scramble up and take out the immediate enemies to clear a path for us to move on foot.
John wanted to run, but Arthur stopped because Buell was dying from a gunshot. Arthur stayed by his most loyal horse, comforting him until his very last breath in a truly heartbreaking moment.
Finally, a choice appeared on the screen that changed everything. I had to decide whether to help John get to safety or return to the burning camp for the money.

Here I'm finishing the post for today, and I'll talk about more special RDR 2 gaming moments in Gaming Photography.
