I explored the Ritual Division in search of Darling's HRA Labs, where I joined Rangers in a fierce battle against Hiss forces. After destroying a healing cluster and surviving an ambush by explosive enemies, I defeated a powerful Hiss entity with Launch abilities. The area was finally cleansed, revealing a peculiar, altered item.
After leaving Marshall, I searched for the back door leading toward Darling's HRA Labs. I found myself walking into a part of the Oldest House I had never seen before, where the architecture felt even more shifting and strange.
Upon entering the Ritual Division, I saw Hiss forces completely overran the area. A group of Rangers was already there, locked in a desperate firefight against the corrupted soldiers.
I jumped into the fray and noticed a Hiss Cluster providing constant healing to the enemy troops. I tried to target it immediately, but a Hiss soldier caught me from behind, forcing me to blink away and reposition.
Once I found a clear opening, I went straight for the cluster. It couldn't fight back, but its healing was keeping the others alive, so I destroyed it as fast as possible before mopping up the remaining soldiers.
Just as the room seemed clear, a wave of Hiss Charged appeared, the ones that act like living bombs. I had to back off quickly to keep my distance while picking them off from afar.
I moved toward the Control Point to cleanse the area, but I was interrupted by a high-level enemy. This one was using the Launch ability against me, backed by a massive health bar.
With the help of the surviving Rangers, I engaged the mini-boss. I stayed behind heavy cover to avoid its projectiles and eventually took it down, along with a few reinforcements that arrived late to the fight.
Finally, I reached the Control Point and cleansed it. The chaotic red haze lifted, and the room shifted back to its "normal" state, completely changing the atmosphere of the hall.
I reached the Protective Studies area and noticed a toy duck being held in a glass chamber for analysis. It looked like a simple testing subject, but in this place, even a rubber duck can be a dangerous Altered Item.
