I reached Tadayori's Rest, after discovering dead Mongols and evidence of another protector. Then Jin was confronted by Kaede, who challenged his identity as a Sakai. After a fierce duel where Jin initially held back, she recognized his skill and shared a riddle pointing toward Azamo Bay before departing.
After following the map to the entrance of Tadayori's Rest, I found myself having to crawl through a narrow hole to enter. Jin noted that there might have been an alternative way, but this path led directly into the sacred grounds.
As I moved deeper into the site, I found the bodies of a Mongol patrol. Nearby, I found a map identical to the one from the Violet Crown, suggesting they were also hunting for the legendary armor before someone stopped them.
I ran through the stunning field of violet flowers toward the heart of the rest. While walking through the blossoms, I couldn't help but wonder who had been skilled enough to take down those Mongols before I arrived.
Upon reaching the cemetery area, I began investigating the surroundings. I found various riddles and fresh incense that matched the flowers from the Violet Crown, confirming the site's spiritual importance.
Suddenly, a lady samurai named Kaede appeared and demanded to know my business. Even though Jin insisted he wasn't there for a fight, she ordered him to leave the sacred ground immediately.
Jin introduced himself as Jin Sakai, nephew of Lord Shimura, but Kaede called him a liar and a thief. She refused to believe it was Jin Sakai and challenged him to a duel.
As they drew their katanas, I hoped for a peaceful resolution, but we were forced into a fierce battle. Kaede was remarkably skilled, moving with the precision of a trained guardian.
Jin kept asking her to stop, as he had no desire to kill her. I spent much of the early fight simply dodging her strikes, trying to avoid harming a woman who was clearly just defending her heritage.
Kaede didn't let up and managed to land a few hits, draining my health. Realizing she wouldn't stop until she saw my true strength, I began returning the favor, dodging her attacks and countering with focused strikes.
Once she realized she couldn't win, or perhaps recognized the Sakai style in my movements, Kaede called off the attack and asked for forgiveness. She revealed that the armor was no longer there, giving Jin a final hint: "Tadayori watches over Azamo Bay for eternity."
