I returned to Days Gone for some scenic captures, starting with a grim tunnel entrance. After investigating an ominous school bus and a burger stall, I lured a horde out of the White King Mine with a pipe bomb. I eliminated them through tactical retreats before claiming a health-boosting NERO injector.
Gaming Photography Weekly Contest - Theme: Wallpaper Worth Pictures.
I played Days Gone after a long time today to capture some wallpaper-worthy pictures. That is what I got at first sight: some hanged dead bodies at the entrance of the tunnel, a stark reminder of the world's brutality.
I rode to this town where I tried a bike jump through a wrecked bridge. You can see the stall of Hungry Jim's Burger in the background, a silent relic of a time when people could eat in peace.
After passing the burger store, I noticed this yellow school bus where someone wrote, "they are coming." I left my bike there to take these pictures, feeling the weight of the desperate message left by survivors.
I noticed there were some unexplored NERO sites nearby. I decided to check them and it looked like one of them was tucked away inside the dark entrance of the White King Mine, which felt dangerous.
I just knew there was a horde inside that tunnel. I threw a pipe bomb to attract the freakers and waited for them to come screaming out so I could quickly ride my bike and escape.
Like what I usually do with a horde, I stopped riding a short distance away and I shot some of them from there. I kept firing until they got uncomfortably close to my position.
I rode to a good distance from where I shot most of the horde when they were heading back to the mine site. There was one last straggler whom I shot down from close range.
I went back to the mine site and went inside to claim my prize when it was safe to approach. I increased my health using the NERO injector I found inside the abandoned research station.
I was riding on this rail track when night fell upon me. Suddenly, this freaker saw me from a distance and was running towards me, so I took care of it before it got close.
There came another freaker who got a lot closer to me than the last one. I leveled my weapon and then I just tried a headshot and took it down before it could attack me.
I noticed these waterfalls beneath a wooden bridge. I stopped there to check on the beautiful sound of the water, a rare moment of serenity in a land filled with constant noise and danger.
Look at this final picture; it is such a perfect fit for a wallpaper. The moon looked so lovely, and I really liked the way the light hit the dust on my bike's headlight.
