I explored the House of Wisdom, questioning the poet Arib and an astronomer before returning to Ahmad's workshop. After discovering ancient sketches with Nehal, I attended Fazil Fahim's lecture. However, news of recent assassinations caused Fazil to flee, forcing me to search for hidden passages beneath the library to track him down.
While exploring Ahmad's workshop with Nehal, I started to feel a bit turned around, so I stepped out for a moment to clear my head. I took a second to scout the immediate area and marked a few points of interest nearby.
I found the young poet Arib resting in the eastern outer courtyard. Basim approached him like a genuine fan of his work to see if he had any intel on the Order, but the man didn't seem to know anything of use.
I headed back to join Nehal in the workshop. Once I took a closer look at the surroundings, I realized there were far more hidden details and documents to uncover than I had initially noticed.
We found a large drawing that looked exactly like the mysterious object from the palace. It appeared to be a sketch taken directly from an ancient book, linking Fazil’s research to the Order's broader goals.
Nehal tried to press Basim for the secrets he was keeping, but he insisted she didn't want to know the darkness involved with the Hidden Ones. She promised to stay close to him, serving as a reminder of who he was before he took the creed.
Outside, Kahraman announced a slight delay to the lecture. I took the opportunity to speak with an elderly astronomer, as Basim suspected he might be one among the masked ones, but the old man remained tight lipped and didn't give anything away, other than astronomer knowledge.
It finally sounded like the event was starting, so I returned to Kahraman, the chief servant. He allowed us into the hall where Fazil Fahim welcomed the crowd and began his lecture on humanity's ancient ancestors.
Basim still wasn't 100% sure Fazil was the man behind the mask, but he prepared his hidden blade anyway. Just as he was about to move, a servant rushed in with news that Zahra and her son had been slain, prompting Fazil to flee for safety.
With the lecture over and the target gone, I had to find where Fazil was hiding. I eavesdropped on some nearby speakers who mentioned rumors of hidden passages beneath the House of Wisdom and a rooftop gardener who knew the way.
