I fought through a relentless loop of evil Guardian doubles while Peter gave a distracting speech. After realizing the fog was regenerating our foes, I protected the team while Rocket navigated a water-filled tunnel to sabotage the source.
Peter got too carried away while he was giving the speech, as he didn't even notice the evil versions of the Guardians surrounded them. After Gamora first noticed them, Rocket mentioned sarcastically that it was a great speech.
The battle began with the four of us against the five evil Guardians. We really needed Drax to join the fight on our side to even the numbers, as the odds were stacked against us from the start.
I already took down the evil Peter, but he came back, so I went for him again. It was fun fighting and taking down thyself, though it felt strange to trade blows with a mirror image of the Star-Lord.
While I was fighting some evil Guardians, I noticed Gamora was fighting her own evil version. I was the one who had to issue the commands to ensure she stayed focused on her lethal counterpart during the brawl.
All of us kept fighting the available versions, and the stressful thing was that no matter how many we took down, they were coming back right away. It became a frustrating loop of endless combat.
Then I noticed I actually had to destroy the source of the fog, not the guardians, so they would stop returning. I found a place where I sent Rocket to destroy the source and he did it.
The source of the fog was not destroyed entirely, so we had to fight more of those evil Guardians while looking for options. Unfortunately, the Guardians started giving up as fatigue and hopelessness set in.
At first, Groot gave up, and then Gamora also gave up while I was fighting her evil version. I tried some special abilities because I was losing a lot of health and didn't want to die after progressing this much in the battle.
The Guardians kept requesting Rocket to get to the other hole and destroy the source, but he was hesitant because it was filled with water. At last, he went in to help his friends.
After Rocket went inside, I still had to keep fighting those evil Guardians as they kept coming. Suddenly, Rocket did it and blasted the source, though the work was not done still.
