theHunter: Call of the Wild – Beauty of Cuatro Colinas Reserve

I have been playing a lot of new games lately, but all those can't keep me away from theHunter: Call of the Wild for too long. I keep coming back to it to experience some of the best open-world wildlife maps created based on real locations. I wanted to go back to an old reserve that attracts me with its beautiful farms and cultivated lands. It is an interesting choice to add a map to a game with 'wild' in its name when many parts of that map are far from wild.

Maybe that's the unique part about it that separates it from the rest. I will showcase its beauty to you.

This reserve is called Cuatro Colinas in the game. The landscape is inspired by northern Spain, I believe. A countryside view where you will see a lot of plains and cultivated lands. My personal favourite is the Lavender and Sunflower farms here. Those hay fields are perfect for hunting some Roe deer.

I have never seen a lavender farm in my life, but if it is close to as beautiful as the game has, then I want to visit some soon.

I like the foliage in here. The little white flowers that are growing in the wild are beautiful too.

Just because this place has so many flowers and bright colours, it feels good to just explore and get lost here without any goals. Sunflower fields on one side and beautiful lavender on the other. What else can you ask from it? xd

But we are not here just to admire its beauty. The game is about hunting, so whenever I come across good opportunities to hunt, I make sure that I don't miss them. One of my favourite animals to hunt is the Red deer. They are so majestic. Look at those antlers!

Roe deer are relatively easy to hunt in those open hay fields. They can be spotted from a distance and sniped off easily. But that can't be said with Red deer. It takes a bit more effort to hunt them.

I found a rare male ring-necked pheasant which tried to fly away. But I was ready with my shotgun and killed it in the air. A shot that I am really proud of. I know you don't have to be really accurate with a shotgun, but it was satisfying to hit a flying bird.

There are wolves in this map as well, but those are much harder to hunt down. They have strong senses which can detect my presence easily and help them avoid me.

There is a big river cutting this reserve in two parts. Water graphics are not the best part of the game, and you cannot even swim. I wish there were more mechanics involved with water. Like going into the river in boats to hunt water ducks or something.

Let me know your thoughts about this reserve. I love the flower fields here. It has wild parts, but I always come here for those fields. The animal population and variety could have been better, but a good map overall for this game.
