I met Charlie before racing to Vertfontaine to join Silva, Morrison, and Diana. Morrison successfully signaled the sky, causing a city-wide blackout followed by a mysterious yellow glow. As martial law was declared, Jacob's tattoo reacted to the alien presence, forcing a desperate evacuation of the roof.
After the rocket launch, Charlie called Jacob and asked him to meet her urgently. Jacob left the control room right away and, after getting out of that tunnel, I flew the Skycar to reach Charlie's location.
After getting to Charlie, she said she was leaving because she had been compromised. Jacob assured her that everything would be okay and left in a hurry as Morrison requested a meeting on the roof.
I was flying the Skycar again, navigating through the futuristic skyline. It looked like my next targeted location, Vertfontaine, was not so far from where I had just spoken with Charlie.
After landing on the roof, I saw Silva and Morrison were already there. Diana arrived shortly after, and then Jacob joined them where they had some tensed conversations about the mission's next phase.
Morrison was working on a device so the beam convergence would illuminate a new path to the Kin. It looked like he was trying to communicate with aliens or a similar high-tech extraterrestrial force.
After he was done with his thing, it looked like something contacted back from the sky. The immediate backlash caused the whole city to lose electric power, plunging the streets into darkness.
The next moment, a yellow glow appeared in the sky and Morrison started laughing as he understood it was a success. The city regained its power as the atmospheric energy stabilized.
Jacob started facing painful complications with his MindsEye device during the surge. He saw a vision where people were trying to hold on to an energy source that seemed to be slipping away.
Then there came Lemrie in Skycar, bringing a squad of soldiers along. He asked the team to stand down, mentioning the city of Redrock was now officially under martial law due to the disturbances.
Suddenly, the tattoo on Jacob's hand started glowing up brightly. It looked like the alien that messed things up at the beginning of the story was now interfering with the surrounding Skycars.
Lemrie escaped right away while Diana took her own Skycar to flee the roof. Jacob asked Morrison to leave taking Silva along, promising to give them cover from the roof.
That's all for this session. More moments coming soon and thanks for checking it out.
