I navigated a series of perilous jumps and swings over the tsunami waters to reach a burning building. After a tragic attempt to save a child, I reached the roof and reunited with Jonah. Following a tense disagreement over their next move, Lara paused to reflect on the devastating destruction of the village.
The next step was incredibly difficult, and I actually messed up once while trying to navigate the debris. I had to time some risky jumps across floating obstacles as the tsunami water surged beneath me.
At one point, I had to make a massive leap using a partially submerged excavator. From there, I swung across a street light post to reach the next solid platform.
I used my climbing axe to scale the side of a burning building. I failed my first attempt because I wasn't fast enough to beat the collapsing structure, but I managed to make it to the top on the second try.
While I was scrambling to survive, I saw a child clinging desperately to a piece of a building. Before I could reach out, the child fell into the current, leaving Lara visibly devastated that she couldn't help.
I finally climbed onto the roof of the building. For the first time since the wave hit, it felt like Lara was relatively safe from the immediate danger of the water.
Lara spotted Jonah on the roof nearby. He was busy coordinating with a chopper to help get survivors out of the flooded zone, so she immediately headed toward him.
Lara wanted to move on to the next location immediately to stay ahead of Trinity, but Jonah insisted on staying to help as many people as possible. They had a heated argument over it, but Jonah's compassion eventually won out.
After the confrontation, Lara sat alone at the edge of the roof. She looked out over the remains of the village, which was now completely underwater, and tried to process the weight of what had just happened.
