Lara discovered an ancient map illuminated by sunrays before reuniting with Jonah. Their exploration triggered a rigged pressure plate, forcing a desperate escape from the collapsing cave.
Then in Mexico, Lara realized Trinity was searching in the wrong country, leading her to tail Dr. Dominguez through a festival.
After reaching the shiny object, Lara started capturing photos of the surroundings. She noticed the sunray was definitely pointing toward an ancient map etched into the stone.
Suddenly, Jonah made it out there after all, having survived the separation earlier. He was visibly surprised by the scale and mystery of the hidden chamber.
Lara kept exploring the interior and found a date that had been destroyed long ago. It appeared the damage was done intentionally to hide a secret.
While Lara was still exploring, she suddenly set foot on a pressure plate rigged with explosion devices. Both of them realized the place was going down, so they started running to survive.
Lara captured a few final photos despite Jonah's insistence that they should leave immediately. They at last emerged from the cave and found an awesome, sunlit scene overlooking the valley.
The next scene showed a vibrant mask party in Cozumel, Mexico. A lot of people were enjoying the night, unaware of the shadow war happening in their midst.
Lara was checking something on a hotel balcony when Jonah reached her. He mentioned that Dr. Dominguez, the man in their focus, was finally nearby and moving.
Lara analyzed the photos from the cave and concluded that they should be looking in Peru, not Brazil. She mentioned that Trinity had been looking in the wrong place all along.
Suddenly, someone met the doctor, and they started walking out of the plaza. It was a clear signal that the next phase of the Trinity operation was beginning.
Both Lara and Jonah understood it was time to follow the doctor closely. Jonah gave Lara a mask to hide her identity, ensuring she remained undetected among the festival attendances.
I started following Jonah while capturing more photos using the awesome photo mode. We then noticed the doctor passed through a gate guarded by heavily armed security.
