I tried my first Tomb Raider game after a long time, and this one has an amazing photo mode that allows me to capture good photos at better angles unlike the previous game I showed. And you can see what I'm talking about in the video at 7 minutes 30 seconds, where I prepared the photo for the thumbnail.
The game started with a cinematic part where Lara Croft was seen in a terrifying plane crash scene. Jonah was there with her, both of them fighting against the turbulence and the failing engines.
Lara tried hard to level the plane after the pilot died from a stone hit, but the cockpit got separated. The back of the plane, where Jonah was stuck, ripped away into the stormy sky.
Knowing the crash was inevitable, Lara used the seat belt to tie herself firmly to the seat. She braced for impact as the plane spiraled down toward the dense jungle below.
We were taken back to two days earlier where Lara was seen stuck in an underground hole. She was badly injured with a large stone pinning her leg.
Jonah mentioned he was coming to look for her, but Lara asked him not to attract attention on the trail. I helped her move the heavy stone and saw her leg was severely wounded.
I had to help her climb up toward the light through a very tight hole in the rock. After squeezing through and getting out of there, she felt a brief moment of relief.
It looked like we were inside a massive cave within a mountain. I used the photo mode here to capture a skeleton that had suffered a horrible death, probably centuries ago.
I started getting a hang of the movement keys while trying out the climb tool. The axe allowed me to latch onto craggy surfaces and scale the steep interior of the hill.
The next climb got riskier when I had to navigate on the ceiling of the cliff from where Lara could fall and die anytime, but she didn't.
At last, I climbed up the hill and noticed sunrays coming through a hole into the cave. Some bats flew by suddenly, giving a creepy and atmospheric feel to the dark environment.
I reached a magnificent ruin that made Lara whisper the word beautiful. I used the photo mode functions to capture this stunning view of the thumbnail before continuing the journey.
