Hectic Tuesday. We are making preparations for Saturday's event (Mom's 1st death anniversary). I spent most of the day sorting things out and cleaning windows, which allowed me to listen to music. It's Tuesday after all, and TTT time.
One of the bands that came into my feed was Bon Jovi. I didn't realize until today that they had released a new album (Legendary) 5 months ago. Accordingly, it is a reimagining of their album (Forever) in June 2024 (while Jon was in rehabilitation after his vocal cord surgery in 2022). I chose three from it, and here's the first tune:
Bon Jovi - Red White and Jersey
This is a new track for the album, a collaboration between Jon Bon Jovi (the band's frontman) and Bruce Springsteen, both New Jersey icons. I just love the catchy melody, the classic rock swagger, and the instrumentation. I could listen to it on repeat.
And the next tune is another collab with a British singer-songwriter.
Bon Jovi and James Bay - Legendary
I like this because it is pop-oriented and not rock-heavy. It's also a feel-good tune, which makes it a nice song to listen to while doing chores. Accordingly, this is a tribute to Jon's wife for standing by him during his most difficult times.
And the last song for the day,
Bon Jovi & The War and Treaty - The People's House
A gospel-infused, soulful song, with the traditional rock (Jon's style). Normally, this would be quite heavy for me, but surprisingly, I liked it and played it a couple more times. Michael and Tanya's voices are amazing!
Anyhow, at first, I thought the song's title was about a church, but it actually refers to the US Capitol. It is said that the lyrics intend to send a poignant message of national unity among the American people.
And with that, let me end this edition of my participation in the TTT initiative by Ablaze. Cheers to a lovely Tuesday!
