Saludos estimados Hivers y miembros de esta comunidad, que para esta semana Hive account@eudemo, nos plantea el reto para que hablemos de la migración, como sabemos, la migración se puede dar internamente o externamente, es decir hacia otros países, también debemos agradecer a Hive account@acont por la propuesta de dicha iniciativa.

La verdad que en mi país desde hace unos 8 años se puso muy en boga o en moda migrar hacia otros países, sobre todo de la región, por la cuestión del visado, pero cuando estas migraciones se empezaron a realizar demasiado masivas, los países de la región empezaron a solicitarles visa a los venezolanos; sin embargo, como sabemos muchos venezolanos han tratado de llegar y han llegado a EEUU por diferentes medios, y luego que se encuentran en ese país para estar legal solicitan el asilo.

Considero que, por lo general, cuando una persona decide migrar es porque está buscando mejores condiciones de vida de las que tiene en la localidad donde se encuentra.

Hablando de mi país, aquí se ha dado mucho la migración interna, sobre todo de las diferentes regiones alejadas del centro del país como de la capital, precisamente hacia el centro y la capital del país, poquísimas veces se puede dar que personas del centro del país puedan migrar hacia oriente, los llanos o los andes, generalmente es lo contrario de estas regiones hacia el centro del país.

¿Qué significa para ti ser un ser humano migrante?

Un ser humano migrante es una persona que anda en busca de mejores oportunidades, que puede ser de trabajo, de convivencia, de seguridad y bienestar, no solamente para él sino también para su familia.

Porque si una persona va a migrar fuera del país para vivir en peores condiciones que las que tenía en el país, no tiene sentido esa migración, por ello considero que migrar no puede tomarse como una moda, independiente del tipo de trabajo que realice en el sitio donde migro, siempre y cuando este sea suficiente para cubrir sus necesidades y las de su familia.

¿Cómo has experimentado o presenciado la migración en tu vida o en tus familiares y amigos?

La migración me ha tocado muy de cerca, porque los seres humanos que más quiero, mis hijos, se vieron en la disyuntiva de inmigrar, porque ya los sueldos se les estaba quedando cada vez más corto y ya estaban casados, pero ellos se fueron de forma organizada con un trabajo seguro en el país donde migraron

Porque hay algo que no comparto de la migración es cuando viajan con niños por caminos inhóspitos y haciéndoles pasar a los niños una serie de calamidades de las cuales ellos no tienen culpa y en muchos casos arriesgándoles la propia vida, eso no puede ser.

He visto amigos que han tenido que regresarse al país porque se fueron de una forma desorganizada, sin tener a nadie quien los estuviera esperando para por lo menos darle un sofá para dormir por las noches, es decir, por lo menos contar con un techo seguro; sin embargo, tengo amigos y también familiares que han inmigrado de forma organizada y en la actualidad se encuentran bien en los respectivos países donde se fueron.

Por eso digo que no se puede tomar la migración como una moda, pero si las personas deciden inmigrar deben tener una mínima organización, sobre todo si tienen niños que muchas veces no pueden comprender las razones por las cuales sus padres deciden salir del país.

¿Cuáles crees que son los factores humanos que influyen en esta actitud?

Considero que el factor fundamental por el cual las personas deciden inmigrar, es mejorar la calidad de vida, otro elemento que he visto es como una especie de moda.

Eso de la moda lo saco a colación porque el hijo de unos amigos se fue porque unos amigos se fueron y entonces el decidió irse también, pero después que llego nos contó que paso más trabajo y en realidad no tenía necesidad de inmigrar porque su papá tiene un negocio y envés de ponerse ayudarlo invento lo de la inmigración que por cierto se arrepintió de eso, porque dice que hasta la vida la puso en peligro.

¿Cómo se relaciona la cultura de una sociedad con su disposición a aceptar o rechazar a los migrantes?

Particularmente considero que los venezolanos no somos una sociedad que rechaza los inmigrantes, porque en el país existen seres humanos de diferentes países y nunca he visto gesto de rechazo hacia ninguna en específico, y particularmente yo no soy de las que rechazan algún inmigrante ni por su cultura ni religión.

Considero que lo principal para un inmigrante es no sentir rechazo hacia su nacionalidad, porque buenos hay en todas partes y malos también, entonces no se pueden crear estereotipos, como dice un viejo refrán de todo hay en la viña del señor.

What does it mean to you to be a migrant human being?

A migrant human being is a person who goes in search of better opportunities, which can be work, coexistence, security and welfare, not only for him but also for his family.

Because if a person is going to migrate out of the country to live in worse conditions than the ones he had in the country, there is no sense in that migration, that is why I consider that migrating cannot be taken as a fashion, regardless of the type of work he does in the place where he migrates, as long as it is enough to cover his needs and those of his family.

How have you experienced or witnessed migration in your life or in your family and friends?

Migration has touched me very closely, because the human beings I love the most, my children, were in the dilemma of immigrating, because their salaries were getting shorter and shorter and they were already married, but they left in an organized way with a secure job in the country where they migrated.

Because there is something that I do not agree with about migration is when they travel with children through inhospitable roads and making the children go through a series of calamities for which they are not to blame and in many cases risking their own lives, that cannot be.

I have seen friends who have had to return to the country because they left in a disorganized way, without having anyone waiting for them to at least give them a sofa to sleep on at night, that is to say, at least to have a safe roof over their heads; however, I have friends and also relatives who have immigrated in an organized way and are currently doing well in the respective countries where they left.

That is why I say that migration cannot be taken as a fad, but if people decide to immigrate they must have a minimum of organization, especially if they have children who often cannot understand the reasons why their parents decide to leave the country.

What do you think are the human factors that influence this attitude?

I consider that the fundamental factor why people decide to immigrate is to improve the quality of life, another element that I have seen is a kind of fashion.

I bring up this fashion because the son of some friends left because some friends left and then he decided to leave too, but after he arrived he told us that he had more work and in reality he had no need to immigrate because his father has a business and instead of helping him he invented the immigration thing, which by the way he regretted it, because he says that he even put his life in danger.

How does the culture of a society relate to its willingness to accept or reject migrants?

I particularly consider that Venezuelans are not a society that rejects immigrants, because in the country there are human beings from different countries and I have never seen any gesture of rejection towards any specific one, and particularly I am not one of those who reject any immigrant because of their culture or religion.

I consider that the main thing for an immigrant is not to feel rejection towards his nationality, because there are good ones everywhere and bad ones too, so you cannot create stereotypes, as an old saying goes there is everything in the Lord's vineyard.
