Me ha parecido interesante como Kant ha definido lo que sería característico de un momento ilustrado, ya que él no consideraba su época como un momento ilustrado sino en vías de la ilustración. El gran estandarte de lo que podemos llamar ilustración es la expresión “¡Sapere Aude!” que no significa otra cosa que, atrévete a pensar por ti mismo o para ser más precisos citemos al mismo Kant “¡Ten el valor de servirte de tu propia razón!”

Una de las quejas más pronunciadas de Kant con la sociedad de su época deviene de la incapacidad de pensar por sí mismo, y creo que tal herencia social ha llegado hasta nuestros días, aún sigue extraordinariamente vigente la frase: “Si puedo pagar no me hace falta pensar”.
La sociedad en sentido amplio ha tomado el camino de delegar en otros la responsabilidad de tomar decisiones en muchos ámbitos de la vida, otros deciden por nosotros cómo vivir, cómo pensar, como actuar, que hacer y qué no hacer, que decir y qué no decir, otros deciden por nosotros que podemos expresar y que no. Hemos perdido la capacidad de tomar decisiones por nosotros mismos, y ni hablar en sentido financiero. Somos meros espectadores de nuestra propia vida.
Pero, pensando en las posibilidades que nos ofrece la tecnología de blockchain, si lo hacemos bien, podemos recuperar las libertades que hemos perdido. La existencia de nuevos modelos económicos que nos brindan la capacidad de tener el total y pleno control de nuestros activos, eliminando todo tercero de confianza ya que no necesitamos a un ente externo que valide las transacciones. Poder recobrar ese poder trae consigo mucha responsabilidad que antes no teníamos ya que confiábamos en los bancos en el resguardo de nuestro dinero, pero tanta confianza ha permitido un caos financiero que lo único que ha traído han sido crisis.
En eso en sentido financiero, pero pensemos las libertades que nos ofrece la blockchain en la cuestión de los datos, la mayoría de las personas ni se imagina el nivel de acceso que le hemos dado al sistema para que nos termine conociendo mejor que nosotros mismos, haciéndonos muy vulnerables a nivel mediático y social.
