Para la iniciativa de esta semana en la comunidad de humanitas se nos sigue invitando a soñar. Esta vez con aquél lugar donde nos gustaría vivir, y cuáles serían algunas de las razones que motivan nuestra eleción. Antes de compartir mi respuesta, tengo que decir que no fue tarea fácil, en primer lugar porque como algunos de los participantes lo han resaltado, nuestro país Venezuela tiene muchas bondades como para desprendernos de él aunque sea imaginariamente. Pero en segundo lugar, porque hay tanto países donde mi mente se dirige que he tenido que poner en una balanza las diversas opciones que tenía e ir descartando, como por ejemplo Brasil, país que hace unos años tuve la suerte de visitar y que me encantó. Pero me he decidido por Alemania, ¿por qué?
Me gusta de Alemania y sobretodo de su gente su gran capacidad de restauración, ya que luego de haber sido el epicentro de la segunda guerra mundial, pudieron sobreponerse a esta situación de tal manera que hoy en día han vuelto a erigirse como un país modelo de desarrollo. En este sentido es señal e inspiración para tantos pueblos y naciones que han pasado o están pasando por momentos difíciles, si es posible no sólo encontrar una salida sino que también se pude volver a brillar, incluso con una luz más fuerte.
Esta luz en el caso de la nación germana traspasa fronteras, pues, dentro del punto de vista social y religioso doy testimonio de su generosidad. Particularmente, en el caso de la Arquidiócesis de Barquisimeto han ayudado a varias comunidades en la construcción de Iglesias, casas parroquiales y diversas obras sociales. La institución alemana específica que lleva adelante esta obra en Latinoamérica en general es adveniat.
For this week's initiative in the humanitas community we continue to be invited to dream. This time with where we would like to live, and what would be some of the reasons that motivate our choice. Before sharing my answer, I have to say that it was not an easy task, first of all because, as some of the participants have pointed out, our country Venezuela has too many good things to let go of it, even if it is only imaginary. But secondly, because there are so many countries where my mind goes that I had to put on a scale the various options I had and discard them, such as Brazil, a country that a few years ago I had the good fortune to visit and I loved it. But I have decided on Germany, why?
I like Germany and especially its people for their great capacity for restoration, since after being the epicenter of the Second World War, they were able to overcome this situation in such a way that today they have once again become a model country of development. In this sense, it is a sign and an inspiration for so many peoples and nations that have gone through or are going through difficult times, if it is possible not only to find a way out but also to shine again, even with a stronger light.
This light in the case of the German nation transcends borders, because, from a social and religious point of view, I bear witness to its generosity. Particularly, in the case of the Archdiocese of Barquisimeto they have helped several communities in the construction of churches, parish houses and various social works. The specific German institution that carries out this work in Latin America in general is adveniat.

Desarrollando un poco más esta parte religioso - eclesiástica, también quiero señalar que me gusta como la Iglesia alemana se reforma y no tiene miedo de levantar la voz en medio de la Iglesia Universal, tanto así que lo que están acostumbrados al status quo le han calumniado de diversas formas. No obstante, ella sigue adelante proponiendo temas tabus e invitando a la Iglesia en general a vivir más la escucha al Pueblo de Dios.
Ampliando más la perspectiva, también me gusta de Alemania, de su historia pasada pero también presente, los genios que han salido de esta tierra. No sé si por la cultura de la gente, su disciplina y organización pero no deja de llamar la atención como grandes figuras en diferentes áreas de saber dan honor a estas tierras: el científico A. Eisten, el filósofo I. Kant, el teologo K. Rahner, el músico compositor L.Beetoven, el doctor Ryke Hamer, entre otros. Todos son una muestra de cómo se valora el trabajo intelectual y el aporte a la sociedad en este país.
De hecho, en estos últimos años hay un detalle político que llamó mi atención, y es que partidos políticos diversos entraron en una verdadera mesa de diálogo y conciliación, para unificar algunos criterios de gobierno sobre todo en torno a la política social, que al final es uno de las áreas más importantes para el desarrollo del país.

Nevertheless, she goes ahead proposing taboo topics and inviting the Church in general to live more listening to the People of God.
Broadening the perspective further, I also like Germany, from its past but also present history, the geniuses that have come out of this land. I do not know if it is because of the culture of the people, their discipline and organization, but it is striking how great figures in different areas of knowledge give honor to this land: the scientist A. Eisten, the philosopher I. Kant, the theologian K. Rahner, the musician composer and composer K. Kant, the theologian K. Kant. Rahner, the musician composer L. Beetoven, Dr. Ryke Hamer, among others. All of them are an example of how intellectual work and contribution to society is valued in this country.
In fact, in these last years there is a political detail that caught my attention, and that is that diverse political parties entered into a true table of dialogue and conciliation, to unify some government criteria especially around social policy, which in the end is one of the most important areas for the development of the country.

Otras razones que para esta iniciativa me hicieron escoger a Alemania es que ella está -desde un punto de vista estrictamente geográfico- prácticamente en el centro de Europa con lo cual resulta sencillo algo que de ese continente me parece una gran ventaja, y es la facilidad con la cuál se pueden visitar otros países, lo cual de traduce en la posibilidad de cultivar un interesante intercambio cultural.
El paisaje y las grandes arquitecturas de Alemania cargada de una inmensa historia, es otra cosa que me ha enamorado. Tiene llanos, selvas y zonas montañosas, como para elegir un sitio para estar según la temporada, lo cual no sería tan complicado pues su territorio comprende alrededor de 357mil Km2 (para que tengamos una idea, consideremos que Venezuela tiene 916mil Km2).
Muchas otras cosas pudiese nombrar no sólo de Alemania como lugar donde vivir sino de un pueblo noble y valiente con el cual compartir. Por ejemplo, su pasión por deportes como el fútbol y el diálogo interreligioso que se da allí. No obstante, quisiera terminar expresando que al final me considero cosmopolita en el sentido de que me puedo adaptar con facilidad a cualquier lugar ya que donde sea haya humanidad allí hay también oportunidades de construir cosas maravillosas.
Other reasons that made me choose Germany for this initiative is that it is - from a strictly geographical point of view - practically in the center of Europe, which makes it easy to find something that I consider a great advantage of this continent, and that is the ease with which you can visit other countries, which translates into the possibility of cultivating an interesting cultural exchange.
The landscape and the great architectures of Germany, loaded with an immense history, is another thing that I have fallen in love with. It has plains, jungles and mountainous areas, as to choose a place to be depending on the season, which would not be so complicated because its territory comprises about 357mil Km2 (to give us an idea, consider that Venezuela has 916mil Km2).
Many other things I could name not only about Germany as a place to live but also about a noble and brave people to share with. For example, their passion for sports such as soccer and the interreligious dialogue that takes place there. However, I would like to end by saying that in the end I consider myself cosmopolitan in the sense that I can easily adapt to any place because wherever there is humanity there are also opportunities to build wonderful things.
