I an era where truth is scase and people are afraid of speaking about things that are incuring pains and discomfort, I chose boldness because even in silence, who's next can't be spelled out, but I'll be alive to speak for those who are incapacitated and lust their boldness.
A lot is going wrong in the Northern part of my country home Nigeria, but the leaders wouldn't want to admit that, with reasons based known to them.
It would be inhuman for anyone to politicise what happened in Jos. Please, this not time for politics.
One thing I have learnt over time, especially with social media, is to always take a step back and understand a situation before speaking on it. The incident in Jos is no different.
What we are seeing today across our land is painful. Too many lives are being lost, and it forces us to ask ourselves hard questions. Do we really need divine intervention to remind us of the importance of love, humanity, and unity?
How does a human being wake up, plan to harm another, kidnap for ransom, and still go ahead to take a life? The same pattern is playing out in many of our communities. This is no longer about anything else, it is human against human.
Nothing in this life should justify taking another person’s life.
We need to return to love. We need to remind ourselves that, at the end of the day, we are all we have. Because when you gain everything in this world, who will you share it with if we keep destroying one another?
Like I always tell my people, we need each other. One person cannot form a convoy alone. It takes many moving together to create something strong, something meaningful. No matter how hard life is becoming, biko lee nwanne gi anya. There is nothing we can't come out of when we are together in love. No amount of help can come from the external when the internal lacks love.
Let us choose humanity. Let us choose life ♥️ you're reading from your handsome friend John Petra.
