Hey fellow Hiveans!
Back to my second favourite London park this week. More specifically to the 1930's lido located in Brockwell Park and also flying closer towards these brutalist style tower blocks.
The modern day building around the lido is now quite large considering what it looked like when it was built and other swimming venues in the area, housing a new spa and gym. The symmetry of the design is on point!
Built in 1968, the brutalist towers of the Hurst Street Estate are uniquely pentagonal in design and I really like that they appear to 'float' on a small island from this angle. Just off to the right side of the tower in the last picture, you can see an access ramp to carparks for residents under the foundations of each of the towers!
