Hi everyone, I trust you are all well.
I set out on this trip with the intention of making Syon House (seen to the right side of the image) the subject. However, my attention quickly went to the Thames river, turns out it can present all kinds of unique opportunities throughout any given day.
Sometimes, it is not necessary to fly high to get some good shots, this is especially true when flying over water whilst hunting for reflections.
It was the closing of a warm summers day, the cool evening air was approaching, the crickets were chirping and the mosquitos were stirring. Walking alongside it, the wind was completely still on the evening that I took this series of images.
As I was thinking about leaving, someone in a canoe peacefully rowed past. It was a nice surprise as it moved through the water so quietly, all I could hear was the slightest sound of the blade through the water.
I could only imagine what it must feel like to have the river to myself whilst taking in the atmosphere of the sunset.
It was getting quite dark at that point for photos, so below are some screen grabs from a video I took.
