Hello everyone, I trust you are all well.
I'm back with more images of Poole Harbour, this time opposite side to where Hamworthy Park and the kitesurfers is I featured before.
I set out with interest in the lifeboat servicing area but initially, I was drawn to this odd looking residential building overlooking the bay.
To me it looked quite dated and I have many questions about various design elements but it does host a really nice fish and chip shop!
Moving on to the subject I wanted, seen below is a Royal National Lifeboat Institute boat servicing area for active vessels. The location is set back quite far from the sea, although I don't think quick response calls are handled there. It might also be down to land availability at the time and/ or facilities which could cater for such use.
Next door is the RNLI college for anyone looking for a career working on and around lifeboats.
Further along from the college is storage moorings for the Sunseeker yacht company (the large white boats) as well as private servicing companies dotted along the banks.
It was a lot of fun flying there, very peaceful and a lot of activity to capture.
Heading east, in between Poole and Bournemouth, is Baiter Park which has no prominent features besides a cycle speedway.
Seen below is Poole Park is close by which has a boating lake and sposrts pitches dotted around.
Whitecliff Park is next to a small harbour so I tried to get creative with some of the shots.
The walk linking the two was serene. The water was incredibly still, gently lapping onto the shoreline, there was no wind and I could feel the heat from the sun on the back on my legs with just the slightest hint of winter chill.
Last shot is looking at a bay exclusively accessible by boat.
From satellite imagery on maps, it shows that houses surround it although there is apparently a footpath nearby which is not signposted anywhere. All my batteries were low so I didn't risk flying around to it, maybe another day.
