So, the last post in this series was going over the most widely known move with a balisong, the basic horizontal. The only thing you really need to know if you ever wanted to cosplay being a goon who get murdered by the protagonist in an 80's street gang flick. And, now we're on to the next most widely used/known move, the vertical basic opening. Pretty similar to the horizontal opening, just utilized in a different motion. While also being another super easy move to learn for anyone just getting into the hobby. I condensed the fast and slow motion into just one video, as I figured that would be more efficient and make me look like less of a chud with making a post on this shit.
Pretty simple as you can see, so I don't think anyone should have a problem learning this trick. These first two moves are a good place to start to work on muscle memory for flipping, but, obviously they aren't the most fun or flashy tricks around. I probably spent the first 2 months I owned a balisong just practicing these two moves and one other one (Which I'll get to eventually, as it's probably the most practical move to learn with a balisong) before I started trying to learn anything else. Mostly because I couldn't find good examples of tricks, and also because I was a pussyhole. After getting back into the hobby, I've been shredding my hands like the best of them and learning more fun stuff where maybe in a few months I'll be capable of doing intermediate tricks. Until then, I guess you'll just have to watch ass slapping competitions while you wait. (For real, fuck the UFC, slapping is where it's at.)
Until next time though, doods.
Later!
