Good day fellow Hive citizens, as today is Tbt, I will like to share a memory of my Traditional Wedding that happened five years ago.
The day started with aroma of traditional local food of hot amala, ewedu and gbegiri. I was already in the hotel room preparing and dressing up for the event of the day when my phone ranged from the wedding planner that my attention is needed at that party venue which my bridesmaids outrightly told her I won't be available as I am busy dressing up. That almost got me panicked.
And she later sorted herself out, she only wants to complained that the chairs in the Venue will not be enough.
As I almost got to the venue, the numbers of cars packed overwhelmed me, my parents, partner and I didn't envisaged the number of guests, and I was thinking if the quantity of food cooked will be able to reach our guests. And as well,I was surprised how everybody ate to their satisfaction.
My outfit and that of my husband is a simple traditional outfit, although glamorous with details but wasn't too expensive and mine was a little embroidery.
The program of the day turned out to be an event people in my church reminiscences about for many years about how colourful it was, the traditional outfit that was used, the traditional decoration and the traditional engaged that anchored the event.
Today clocked exactly five years of my traditional wedding, although it might not be perfect initially but my partner and I are working towards perfection.
The image is mine.
