Monday the 5th of August, which was supposed to have been a special celebration, turned into a nightmare after my dad had an accident in the street; he had several injuries mainly on his face, in which he had to have a total of 12 stitches. At the moment he is fine thanks to God, the bad things are over, however I am telling you about this event because just the day before my dear Luisanni (
On Sunday night I started working on the song with the guitar (1st fragment you will find in the video) as my connection with her song was immediate. Initially she had done the base of the song a capella and with several voices; the rhythm was slow but enveloping, because something she does very well are polyphonies, however, when I send her my audio response on the guitar, we decided to increase the speed a little. Later she came up with the idea of rapping inside the song, an idea that fascinated me, and on Monday she sent me an equalised audio of her complete work early in the morning... when suddenly, my dad's thing happened.
She was always attentive, for which I thank her infinitely and by the evening when I was already at home with my dad, I was about to tell Luisanni that I wasn't going to do anything because I was very sad, but she motivated me to dissociate myself from what had happened and she did it. I got excited and on Tuesday I picked up my guitar in the middle of the stress and started to improve what I had done on Sunday night.
On Wednesday and Thursday I worked on the audio recording with the little time I had to attend to my dad and my mum, who was operated on a month ago, while Luisanni already had her part of the video almost finished hehe. On Friday and Saturday morning we edited the video, edited the photos of the post and wrote the written part of it.
After my dad's accident, we still achieved our goal and our video was published on Saturday morning the 10th of August from Luisanni's blog. You can't imagine in the midst of the chaos, how much I enjoyed making this musical work with her and that's why I'll tell you how those recording days went, so TBT Thursday friends, join me to Rock! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
Hola amigos de Hive y de la comunidad TBT, les saluda Fernando Benedetti; es un gusto para mi reencontrarme con ustedes luego de algunas semanas de ausencia, pero eso tiene un motivo fortuito el cual les explicaré...
El día lunes 5 de Agosto, que se supone debía haber celebrado algo especial, se convirtió en una pesadilla luego de que mi papá tuviera un accidente en la calle; tuvo varias lesiones principalmente en su rostro, en el cual tuvieron que agarrarle un total de 12 puntos de sutura. En este momento está muy bien gracias a Dios, ya lo malo pasó, sin embargo les cuento este suceso porque justamente el día anterior mi querida Luisanni (
El domingo por la noche comencé a trabajar en la canción con la guitarra (1er fragmento que encontrarán en el video) ya que mi conexión con su canción fue inmediata. Inicialmente ella había hecho la base de la canción a capella y a varias voces; el ritmo era lento pero envolvente, porque algo que ella hace muy bien son las polifonías, no obstante, cuando le envío mi audio respuesta en la guitarra, decidimos aumentarle un poco la velocidad. Posteriormente a ella se le ocurrió rapear dentro de la canción, una idea que me fascinó y ya el día lunes me envía un audio ecualizado con su obra completa temprano en la mañana... cuando de repente, ocurrió lo de mi papá.
Ella siempre estuvo pendiente por lo cual le agradezco infinitamente y ya para la noche que yo ya estaba en casa con mi papá, estuve a punto de decirle a Luisanni que no iba a hacer nada porque me encontraba muy triste, pero ella me motivó para así disociarme de lo ocurrido y lo logró. Me entusiasmé y el día martes tomé mi guitarra en medio del estrés y empecé a mejorar lo que había hecho el domingo en la noche.
Los días miércoles y jueves trabajé en la grabación del audio con el poco tiempo que tenía por atender a mi papá y a mi mamá quien hace un mes fue operada, mientras Luisanni ya llevaba su parte del video casi terminada jeje. Los días viernes y sábado en la madrugada nos encargamos de editar el video, editar las fotos del post y redactar la parte escrita del mismo.
Habiendo pasado lo de mi papá, igual cumplimos el objetivo y nuestro video se publicó el sábado 10 de agosto en la mañana desde el blog de Luisanni. No se imaginan en medio del caos, como disfruté hacer este trabajo musical con ella y es por ello que a continuación les relataré como fueron esos días de grabación, así que amigos de los jueves de TBT, acompáñenme ¡A Rockear! 🤘😎🤘🔥🎙️🎸🎶❤️🌟🍻💥💫💯
The song that Luisanni wrote is called: ‘Hay Libertad’ and it is directly related to everything that happened in Venezuela days before regarding the presidential elections. I won't expand on that topic, I'll just say: Fuck you Maduro! 🖕... The truth is that our country has been going through a very strong political, economic and social crisis for more than 20 years and we made this song to support the change that the dictatorship refuses to accept.
For this reason I have prayed a lot for my country and for my people, and here in these first photos you can see me with a lit white candle meditating to start the recording of the music video 🙏❤️
La canción que Luisanni escribió se llama: "Hay Libertad" y está directamente relacionada a todo lo acontecido en Venezuela días antes con respecto a las elecciones presidenciales. No me extenderé en ese tema, solo diré: ¡Jódete Maduro! 🖕... Lo cierto es que nuestro país pasa por una crisis, política, económica y social muy fuerte desde hace más de 20 años y esta canción la hicimos para apoyar el cambio que la dictadura se niega a aceptar.
Por esta razón he orado mucho por mi país y por mi gente, y aquí en estas 1eras fotos me pueden ver con una vela blanca encendida meditando para iniciar la grabación del video musical 🙏❤️
Something very nice that happened to me with Luisanni's song was that when I heard it for the first time, the notes came to my mind as well as the way I would play them on the guitar. My look for this first recording was very urban, representing the fight in the streets of Venezuela for freedom. I wanted to record in the dark with some sunlight coming into the room; that's really how I felt, between darkness and light.
Algo muy bonito que me ocurrió con la canción de Luisanni, fue que cuando la escuché por primera vez, las notas llegaron a mi mente al igual que la forma en como las tocaría en la guitarra. Mi look en esta 1era grabación fue muy urbano, representando la lucha en las calles de Venezuela por la libertad. Quise grabar en lo oscuro con un poco de luz solar entrando a la habitación; realmente así me sentía, entre la oscuridad y la luz.
On the 2nd day of recording, everything was different; in spite of how bad I felt, I felt a great emotion that allowed me to be much better emotionally, so much so that I wanted to record in the same room using the white background of the wall and the white light of the same. My attitude was overflowing this day, I thanked God a lot for having saved my dad from a major tragedy and I managed to record this part of the video in the afternoon where the guitar chords became stronger 🔥🔥🔥
En el 2do día de grabación, todo fue distinto; a pesar de lo mal que me sentía, sentí una emoción muy genial que me permitió estar mucho mejor anímicamente, tanto así que quise grabar en la misma habitación usando el fondo blanco de la pared y la luz blanca de la misma. Mi actitud era desbordante este día, agradecí mucho a Dios por haber salvado a mi papá de una tragedia mayor y logré grabar en horas de la tarde esta parte del video en donde los acordes de la guitarra cobraban más fuerza 🔥🔥🔥
That same 2nd day of recording at night, I recorded the final part of my part of the video; I wanted to reflect a very simple life belief, that in our darkest moments, there will always be a light to guide us and that light is God. And what better way to establish that spiritual connection than with music, that which feeds the soul and manages to elevate us to states of consciousness that allow us to be close to the creator of all that surrounds us. In this final part, the melody is relaxing and very soft, which gave me a lot of calm inside when recording.
Ese mismo 2do día de grabación en la noche, grabé la parte final de mi parte del video; quise reflejar una creencia de vida muy sencilla, que en nuestros momentos más oscuros, siempre habrá una luz que nos guíe y esa luz es Dios. Y qué mejor manera de establecer esa conexión espiritual que con la música, esa que alimenta el alma y que logra elevarnos a estados de consciencia que nos permiten estar cerca del creador de todo lo que nos rodea. En esta parte final, la melodía es relajante y muy suave lo que me dio mucha calma en mi interior al momento de grabar.
In life, without a doubt, every struggle brings sacrifices, and yes it does, because even Luisanni had difficult days before starting this project, but we both supported each other and managed to finish the video just on the last day of the Hive Open Mic theme 🤘
The closing of the video was very symbolic; both Luisanni and I dressed in white, making it clear that every storm brings its moment of peace and we are all clear about this. This trip was more than a success, it was an introspection to the deepest part of us to manifest our light through creativity and love for God first, for life, for music... and not least, for FREEDOM!!!
En la vida, sin duda alguna, toda lucha conlleva sacrificios, y vaya que sí, porque incluso Luisanni había tenido días difíciles antes de iniciar este proyecto, pero ambos nos apoyamos mutuamente y logramos terminar el video justo el último día de la temática del Hive Open Mic 🤘
El cierre del video fue muy simbólico; tanto Luisanni como yo vestimos de blanco, dejando claro que toda tormenta trae su momento de paz y es que todos tenemos claro esto. Este viaje fue más que un éxito, fue una introspección a lo más profundo de nosotros para manifestar nuestra luz a través de la creatividad y el amor por Dios primeramente, por la vida, por la música.. y sin ser menos importante, por la LIBERTAD!!!
