My school days were packed with all kinds of experiences and honestly, I’m glad I got to live through them myself. No explanation would have done justice. Sometimes you just have to feel to understand.
I took this shot, because I know after the rain the sun will shine. So I was hopeful.
Today, I stumbled upon some old pictures I took back in school and memories came rushing in. It was a Friday I remember that clearly.

While in class
My coursemates.
Fridays were usually very hectic for me. My schedule was like a rectangle boxed in from every side. Well it has always been like that, from my hostel to the lecturer hall and to my Christian meetings.
I remember on this day, I had my first lecture at 8:30 AM in the college hall, and the next one wouldn’t start until 12:00 noon and stretch all the way to 3:30 PM.
Friday mornings were always a mad rush! Sometimes we would wait for hours for the bus. I’d sometimes arrive late and end up standing outside the class.
That 8:30 AM business class had a strict lecturer who doesn't tolerate latecomers.
After the lectures, we would hang around, gist, catch up with assignments, gist, and of course… take pictures! Because what’s uni life without a little slay in between stress? 😂
What's uni life without pics.
Then came the part of my day I never compromised my Christian meeting at 4:30 PM. The meetings were held outside the campus, but I promised myself I wouldn’t miss it for anything. Those meetings brought me peace, a sense of purpose, and joy I truly needed.
At this point you can tell I am so hungry but heeey I am so broke that I can't even afford a snack.
And whew, on this particular day, I was broke and very hungry, yet I was determined to attend the meeting. So my friend and I stood by the roadside hoping for a lift.
By God’s grace, we got into the most comfortable car with AC blasting like paradise, and yes we shamelessly took pictures inside. 🤭
We had a good ride out of the campus with cool air.
The man was really Good sent because he dropped us at the meeting place.
Looking back now, I’m just grateful for life and all the stress where just a way to train me to be better,School was more than lectures. It was growth, memories, character-building and plenty of vibes.
After the Christian meeting we took more pictures with friends.
Cheers to the good old days.
What was your lecture days like back then?
