Hello, my dear Hivers! I want to let you in on a little story about how I spent time with classmates after class. These unannounced hangouts happened spontaneously. Well, my classmates actually invited me to tag along, saying we would just be going for a walk. And of course, we gaslighted ourselves into thinking that a walk around is some kind of "exercise" (anything to make ourselves feel productive, right?).
A Quick Stop for Mangoes
So now you must be asking where we go? Not that far—just down to Bogo Pantaland. En route, we passed a street vendor selling mangoes, and my classmates suddenly developed a craving! So we decided to take a detour.
To be honest, just by looking at those mangoes would make one appetizing. The sight was really tempting, and I could almost taste that sweet-and-sour combination with spicy vinegar and salt-slurp! My classmates went ahead and bought them for snacking, while I just wasn't feeling mangoes this time. I felt like having something salty instead, so I opted to refrain from buying and just watched as they indulged.
Craving Balut Activated!
When they had finished eating, we continued walking toward our destination, but just as we entered Bogo Pantaland, another street vendor sold the balut! And I can tell you that I totally love it!
I got some few pieces right away to savor. Surprisingly, only three of us ate because the rest were still full from the mangoes. But to tell you the truth, no other street food can measure up to the rich and savory taste of balut, especially if you had not been eating it for so long!
Lazy Mode On
After eating, we thought we could walk along the length of Bogo Pantaland-but guess what? We got lazy! So, we just stopped midway. What started as an exercise walk soon became a mere, short food trip.
But worth all the fun!
And that would be a wrap for this blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you for reading!
