Hello friends, what is promised is debt, this time I bring you some pictures of my 15th birthday party, there are not many, they are just some that I keep, the rest of the material is on video but my uncle has it, if I manage to get it maybe I will share it with you. Before I start I would like to give you some context, for those who don't know, in most Latin American countries, when a girl turns 15 years old a special party is held in her honour, it is not like all birthday parties, the girl usually wears a beautiful and pompous dress, although others choose to use simpler models, and another important aspect of the party is that the honoree must dance the waltz with her father. In my particular case my 15th birthday party was shared as my cousin was also turning 15 the same month. But anyway, without further ado, let's get started.
Hola amigos, lo prometido es deuda, en esta ocasión les traigo algunas fotografías de mi fiesta de 15 años, no son muchas, son solo algunas que conservo, el resto del material está en video pero lo tiene mi tío, si logro conseguirlo quizá lo comparta con ustedes. Antes de comenzar me gustaría darles un poco de contexto, para los que no lo saben, en la mayoría de países de Latinoamérica, cuando las jovencitas cumplen 15 años se celebra una fiesta especial en su honor, no es como todas las fiestas de cumpleaños, la chica usualmente lleva un vestido hermoso y pomposo, aunque otras optan por usar modelos más sencillos, y otro de los aspectos importantes de la fiesta es que la homenajeada debe bailar el vals con su padre. En mi caso particular mi fiesta de 15 años fue compartida ya que mi prima también cumplía 15 años el mismo mes. Pero en fin, sin más preámbulo comencemos.
There I am with my cousin, the other quinceañera, is the girl in the white dress, the rest are my cousins and the girl on the left was one of my friends from school. At that time I didn't have blonde hair but brown and I must confess that I hated the hairstyle I got at the hairdresser 🤣
Allí estoy junto con mi prima, la otra quinceañera, es la chica que lleva vestido blanco, el resto son mis primos y la chica que está a izquierda era una de mis amigas del colegio. En esa época yo no tenía el cabello rubio sino castaño y debo confesar que odié el peinado que me hicieron en la peluquería 🤣
We had a lot of fun at that party, dancing, listening to music and telling family anecdotes, it was a beautiful experience that I will never forget. I was particularly happy because I had finally reached the stage where my dad allowed me to wear make-up, and in fact that day was my first🤣.
Nos divertimos muchísimo en esa fiesta, bailando, escuchando música y contando anécdotas familiares, fue una bonita experiencia que nunca olvidaré. Yo estaba particularmente feliz porque yo había llegado finalmente a la etapa en la que mi papá me permitía usar maquillaje, y de hecho ese día fue la primera vez que lo use 🤣.
He is my mum's younger brother and the life of every party, you know, the funny uncle we all have, always telling jokes and making everyone happy, I love him so much.
Él es el hermano menor de mi mamá y el alma de todas las fiestas, ya saben, el tío divertido que todos solemos tener, siempre contando chistes y alegrando a todos, lo quiero muchísimo.
He is Salvador, a family friend, he, his wife and children always liven up every party with their music, wherever he goes he is always accompanied by his cuatro (a typical musical instrument of my country, so called because it has 4 strings).
Él es Salvador, un amigo de la familia, él, su esposa y sus hijos siempre amenizan cada fiesta con su música, a donde quiera que va siempre lo acompaña su cuatro (instrumento musical típico de mi país, llamado así porque tiene 4 cuerdas)
This was my cake and here is something very interesting, as you can see, each one of the girls is holding a ribbon that comes out of the cake, this is a tradition very typical of the 15 years parties in my country. Only one of those ribbons was tied to a gold charm, so when they pulled the ribbons only one of the girls got the prize, it is a very interesting and funny moment. I remember that the winner of the gold charm was my friend Raquel.
Este era mi pastel y aquí hay algo muy interesante, como pueden ver, cada una de las chicas esta sosteniendo una cinta que sale del pastel esta es una tradición muy propia de las fiestas de 15 años en mi país. Solo una de esas cintas estaba atada a un dije de oro, así que cuando jalaron las cintas solo una de las chicas obtuvo el premio, es un momento muy interesante y divertido. Recuerdo que la ganadora del dije de oro fue mi amiga Raquel.

It was a wonderful day that I lived together with friends and family where we shared pleasant moments of good music and good company that will hardly leave my memory. Thank you for allowing me to share these beautiful memories with you every Thursday, I really consider it a very important, beautiful and fun activity 😊.
Fue un día maravilloso que viví junto a amigos y familiares donde compartimos momentos gratos de buena música y buena compañía que difícilmente se irán de mi memoria. Gracias por permitirme compartir estos lindos recuerdos con ustedes cada jueves, de verdad la considero una actividad muy importante, hermosa y divertida 😊.
