Greetings to all my dear and distinguished readers of this platform, this time I will share with you how important it is to maintain ergonomic factors in our organization and / or company according to the activities that each worker performs in order to avoid accidents at work and maintain a good quality of life.
Over the years, organizations have been interested in the prevention of both occupational diseases and accidents at work, through the terms health and work, whose objective is based precisely on the consequences of the interaction of work as a source of risk and health as a precious good for man that can be altered by work, which affect the level of productivity as well as the welfare of their employees..
In this sense it can be said that the current conception of safety and hygiene have their origin precisely in the evolution experienced by health and work, which have gone through multiple changes that the conception of work has experienced throughout the history of man reaching the current situation in which far from being exclusively a means of subsistence, becoming an important element of social valuation and development of its activity creating a right and a duty of the person.
Based precisely on this conception of prevention, the current trend in this field leads to achieve a better quality of life and working conditions, in order to avoid that the health of the working man may be affected by the conditions I create. It should be noted that human capital is of vital importance in the work to be done, being the main work force within organizations, they must achieve a good job performance, because of this, they must direct their efforts to maintain a good working environment in the workplace. In the workplace a pleasant working environment and an adequate physical space to improve the welfare and performance of staff.
In this order of ideas, there are innumerable theoretical considerations about the optimization of physical working conditions in order to increase productivity. One of the factors that has been addressed by occupational health is related to the harmony that must be managed between the equipment, the environment or physical arrangement of these and the anthropometric conditions of the operator of such equipment, which is known today as ergonomics which is linked to Safety, Hygiene and Environment, encompassing them in one that leads to benefits for workers.
In relation to this, different optics have been reached: the first of these is the application of preventive techniques of accidents and occupational diseases, and the second known as Ergonomics, which was born as a way of adapting men and machines, with the purpose of achieving efficiency, health, welfare, safety and quality of working life. It should be added that since the beginning of the industrial revolution, experts in the work phenomenon have observed that workers who perform certain tasks for long periods of time end their occupational exercise with musculoskeletal disorders, among others.
