Los Ackerman tenían poderes y habilidades particulares. Algunos de ellos despertaron esas habilidades como es el caso de Mikasa, Kenny y Levi y otros no como fueron el padre de Mikasa y la madre de Levi, quienes llevaron una vida “normal” como cualquier otro humano.
Eso los convertía en auténticas máquinas de combate con habilidades superiores a cualquier ser humano.
Posteriormente se descubre que esto es debido a que fueron objeto de experimentos genéticos en busca de la perfección del poder de los titanes, por lo que prácticamente son titanes en forma humana.
También tienen algunas características que sólo ellos poseen como es el hecho de que su memoria no puede ser borrada como al resto de los Eldianos y no se transforman en titanes como los portadores de los 9 Titanes.
Sin embargo, me hubiese gustado verlos transformarse en algún titán con sus características propias y tener el poder de la regeneración como podía verse en el caso de Eren Jeager.
Si eso hubiese sido posible, Levi se habría recuperado de las heridas que sufrió. Fue algo triste verlo con tantas heridas cuando ya de por sí, había tenido una vida con bastantes pérdidas y sufrimiento.
Así que quise dibujar una escena, donde Levi se recuperara, cual Ave Fénix resurgiendo de sus cenizas. ¡Creo que eso es algo que ni Zëke hubiera esperado!
Quise trabajar la escena en blanco y negro con el cielo en tonos rojizos para darle más fuerza y dramatismo a la escena.
Para el sombreado, usé brochas de acuarela para hacer las sombras suavizadas en lugar de los bordes duros del sombreado al estilo ánime y darle un toque diferente a mi forma estándar de colorear.
Me gustó el resultado. Creo que lo estaré aplicando en otras ilustraciones donde quiera expresar alguna emoción intensa para seguir experimentando.

However, I would have liked to see them transform into some titan with their own characteristics and have the power of regeneration, as could be seen in the case of Eren Jeager.
If that had been possible, Levi would have recovered from the wounds he suffered. It was sad to see him with so many wounds when he had already had a life with quite a few losses and suffering.
So, I wanted to draw a scene where Levi would recover, like a Phoenix rising from its ashes. I think that's something even Zëke wouldn't have expected!
I wanted to work on the scene in black and white with the sky in reddish tones to give more strength and drama to the scene.
For the shading, I used watercolor brushes to create soft shadows instead of the hard edges of anime-style shading to give a different touch to my standard way of coloring.
I liked the result. I think I will be applying it to other illustrations where I want to express intense emotion to continue experimenting.
