Una serie que me gustaba mucho en la infancia era “Los Pitufos”. Dentro de la historia, había dos personajes: un aprendiz de caballero llamado Juan y quien se convertiría en una especie de asistente, Guillermo.

Juan era bastante astuto y valiente a la hora de enfrentarse a los peligros y era uno de los pocos amigos humanos que tenían Los Pitufos.
Por su parte, Guillermo le ponía la nota graciosa a la historia, aunque a veces lograba salvar las cosas de una manera poco convencional.
Decidí hacer una versión en manga de ellos. Conservé el detalle de que Juan era bastante delgado en su versión original, supongo que era el recurso empleado para dar a entender que era muy joven. Como es una historia donde había acción, no quise llevarlo al extremo de la estilización que se ven en el shoujo.
Utilicé una paleta de colores similar a la de la historia original para los fondos del castillo. Había mucha predominancia del azul y violeta en los ambientes sin embargo no daba la sensación de frialdad que suelen transmitir estos colores sino algo sombrío y antiguo.
Les anexo el proceso y detalles del resultado final. Tal vez más adelante, me inspire y los dibuje con algunos de Los Pitufos.

A series that I liked a lot in childhood was “The Smurfs”. Within the story, there were two characters: an apprentice knight named John and who would become a kind of assistant, Guillermo.

John was quite cunning and brave when it came to facing dangers and was one of the few human friends that The Smurfs had.
By his side, William put the funny note on the story, although sometimes he managed to save things in an unconventional way.
I decided to make a manga version of them. I kept the detail that John was quite thin in his original version, I suppose that was the resource used to imply that he was very young. Since it's a story where there was action, I didn't want to take it to the extreme of stylization that you see in shoujo.
I used a similar color palette to the original story for the castle backgrounds. There was a great predominance of blue and violet in the environments, however, it did not give the sensation of coldness that these colors usually transmit, but rather something gloomy and old.
I attach the process and details of the final result. Maybe later, I'll get inspired and draw them with some of The Smurfs.
