Hoy estuve hacienda bocetos de algunos personajes y escribiendo algunas ideas porque mi cabeza no ha parado de producirlas en todo el día. Mientras preparaba el desayuno, tuve que dejar mi libreta y lápiz cerca para escribir cada vez que se me ocurría algo o si no, iba a tener la idea dando vueltas en mi cabeza como un hámster corriendo en su rueda en la jaula.
¡Hay días así! No puedo llevarle el ritmo a mi cabeza por más que quisiera dibujar a la misma velocidad con la que produce ideas para nuevas ilustraciones o diálogos para los manga.
Así que me relajé escuchando algo de música de piano mientras boceteaba y mi gatito Aioria dormía al lado de mi laptop.
Pensé “¿Por qué no compartir hoy algo que sea más relajado y tranquilo?” La tarde ha estado nublada como si fuese a llover así que el mood es de tranquilidad total.
Y qué tema puede ser más relajante que el otoño. Acá tenemos a Eren Jaeger tomando un paseo en un día de otoño.
Lo dibujé en su etapa adolescente, después que pudieron salir de los muros y conocieron el mar. No suelo dibujar mucho a Eren pues no es uno de mis personajes preferidos, pero de vez en cuando está bien practicarlo. Me gusta el diseño de sus ojos y cómo fueron cambiando a medida que avanzaba la historia y él iba madurando.
Hice el lineart con lápiz para darle más suavidad al trazo en lugar de usar la plumilla. Hay un lápiz llamado Magnolia Pen el cual es uno de mis favoritos para este tipo de lineart. Es como trabajar con un lápiz de mina blanda por lo que no hay que agregar mucha presión para que la línea quede oscura y bien definida. Las sombras las trabajé con creyones y algo de difuminado ya que no quería que luciera al estilo de anime.
El fondo lo trabajé con tizas y pasteles. Me resultan muy prácticas para darle textura a nubes o hacer fondos que no requieren mucho detalle.

Today I was sketching some characters and writing down some ideas because my head hasn't stopped producing them all day. While I was preparing breakfast, I had to keep my notebook and pencil nearby to write down every time something came to mind or else I was going to have the idea running around in my head like a hamster running on its wheel in the cage.
There are days like that! I can't keep up with my head no matter how much I wanted to draw as fast as it produces ideas for new illustrations or dialogue for manga.
So I relaxed listening to some piano music while I sketched and my kitty Aioria slept next to my laptop.
I thought "Why not share something today that is more relaxed and peaceful?" The afternoon has been cloudy as if it was going to rain so the mood is one of total tranquility.
And what theme could be more relaxing than autumn. Here we have Eren Jaeger taking a walk on an autumn day.
I drew him in his teenage stage, after they were able to leave the walls and got to know the sea. I don't usually draw Eren much as he's not one of my favorite characters, but once in a while it's nice to practice it. I like the design of his eyes and how they changed as the story progressed and he matured.
I did the lineart with a pencil to soften the line instead of using a nib. There is a pencil called Magnolia Pen which is one of my favorites for this type of lineart. It's like working with a soft lead pencil so you don't have to add a lot of pressure to get a dark, well-defined line. The shadows I worked with crayons and some blurring as I didn't want it to look anime style.
The background I worked with chalk and pastels. I find them very practical to give texture to clouds or to make backgrounds that don't require much detail.
