Quería hacer un estudio con Ícaro para practicar luces y sombras. Al principio, hice mucho avance del color con brochas de acuarela, pero… ¡No sé! No me gustó como se veía. Quería retarme a hacerlo lo más similar posible al original así que… ¡Lo borré y empecé desde cero!
Encontré una brocha de lápiz que me ayudó mucho a hacer que el color luciera similar a la versión 3D por lo que… ¡Estoy trabajando con ello!
El proceso va lentamente porque quiero captar bien la forma de su cara, la cual me da problemas al interpretarla, sobre todo su nariz. Por otra parte, no estoy corriendo en terminarlo. Quiero aprender durante el proceso el volumen y las sombras que le dan el parecido a una forma sólida. Adicionalmente, estoy haciendo todo el trabajo en una capa al estilo de trabajo tradicional.
Hoy es Día del Trabajador en mi país, así que me estoy tomando esta práctica como un descanso. El día está muy caliente y se siente flojera en el ambiente, hasta mis gatitos están durmiendo en la sala cerca de las ventanas porque ellos disfrutan estar cerca de cosas calientes.

I wanted to do a study with Icarus for practice lights and shadows. At the beginning, I did a lot of the color work with watercolor brushes but…I don´t know! I didn´t like how it was looking. I want to challenge myself to do it as much similar to the original so…I deleted and began from zero!
I found a pencil brush that helps me a lot to make the color look similar to the 3D version so…I´m on the work!
The process is going slowly because I wanted to catch well the form of his face, that gives me some troubles for interpretation it, especially his nose. By other side, I am not running on it. I want to learn during the process the volume and shadows that give him the look of a solid form. Additionally, I am working all in one layer as traditional art.
Today is Labor Day in my country, so I am taking this practice like a rest. The day is very hot and it feels in a very lazy mood, even my kittens are sleeping in the living room near of the windows because they enjoy stay near of warm things.
