Hello, midnight owls. Been a while here...
We all know midnight comes with a different and calm feeling, as opposed to the day, hence calling the opportunity for some people like midnight owls to take advantage of and do some things that probably couldn't or won't be done during the day, or things that are perhaps best done during the night. Not many people though would have it this way, except it seems necessary, but I guess it's no big deal for those who have learnt to stay up at night.
Midnight is just another time to do some things for such people. It could be finishing up a work or task, starting another or doing other things. Sometimes, it's about having some deep thoughts about life and making critical decisions. When midnight sets in and the majority of people are in bed, the place is quiet and void of noises that prevail during the day, with maybe calmer weather or atmosphere, some decisions are best left for midnight.
Awake during such hours, my mind gets drawn to some life concerns that need some thought. While this might not be possible or rather not better done during the day because of the noise, engagements and distractions or disruptions, midnight offers a good period and atmosphere for free-flowing thoughts and imagination, as the case may be. Somehow, I find working at night kind of very productive or effective.
For some of those decisions left for midnight, it could be about life; the plans towards the future and the aspirations. What are the plans, the necessities to achieve them and the current state of things? There seems to be more clarity in those hours and the necessary decisions to take seem to flow more easily, with more grounding in critical thinking and analysis, rather than probability or just doing.
The decisions could be the financial actions to take, what skills to have or the need to upgrade the ones acquired, the ways to make an impact and be a blessing to others, ways to possibly give back to the community already suffering and devastated even in a little way, and sometimes considering the state of the country and if it can become better in any way. Some might not be deep considerations, but not easy useless ones as well.
Making these decisions seems better at midnight hours for some of the reasons aforementioned. Whether it's about making financial gain, affecting or impacting lives and community, or even fulfilling purpose, midnight leaves me sometimes thinking and making these decisions. They are necessary ones, so maybe I'm grateful for the night offering itself as a productive and effective period for doing that.
