I met a friend of mine who is very good at making her own heir, like she could literally plait her heir comfortably well with ease, mind you I'm not taking about some all back weaving, I mean good heir done with weavon , looking excellent, what most ladies spend huge amount to get their heir done, this lady just effortlessly does her own stuff on her own, I was wowed when I asked her how she does it, she said something very striking "The more I do it the easier it becomes"....
I took that word personally, because that's a fact, have you ever thought about doing something and you really do not have the skin for it?, say starting a business, a project, initiating an idea, making that first move do you feel how hard it is, you hear people say a journey of a thousand miles begin with a step, you see that first step is the hardest.
I am realizing more day by day that truly no body is a fool, no body is just stupid, somehow circumstances and situations get them stuck or act in a way that is inconsistent with who they are, so when next you see people procrastinate, get stuck, uncertain, undecided about something it's just fears of the unknown that is a root cause, that's why most people feel comfortable where they are instead of risking their comfort for what is not certain.
the truth is I realise that if you can summon the courage of initiating the first move, get on with the first step, just get up do something no matter how small the effort is, if you can just begin anyhow then it is sure thing that the more you keep going the easier it gets, have you ever tried to push a parked car? why do you think a cars must begin from gear one to start moving, I feel at the point of rest all the weight is down, but once the car starts moving the weight becomes more less and it can run freely.
my friend said she's able to do all of the heir plaiting stuff all by her self cause its something she's been doing over time, but definitely I know at first it was hard and boring, how many of us can relate to this, the first time we tried doing something for the first time how hard was it, the struggle, the frustration, disappointment, rejection? but then we kept going again and again, then gradually we become legends and pro today, the point is if you see people excel exceptionally at what they do, there weren't born like that, it's one step at a time, not giving up, not relenting, not giving excuses, but diligently continue improving on what's known forging ahead into the unknown without guilt hurt and shame even tho it's obvious......
